I’m an old man now at 46 :) but was lucky enough to hold my high schools all time leading scorer title from 1996 to around 2011 I believe. Your last point change of speed is of course massively important especially in todays game. But a little tip I try to remember to give because it really allowed me to score a lot being a 6 “3” 3 man with subpar shooting and dribbling skills is to use the change of speed just as much without the ball. You will be shocked how many times you will be open if you go from a normal speed in motion to a flash cut so fast you feel like your starting off the blocks running the 100. It will give defenders fits when done randomly and combined with knowing where to move without the ball and anticipation it will add 3 to 5 baskets a game. I had no business holding that record. I was just a really good athlete but this works I promise.

I played a little orginized basketball growing up but like most kids because I wasn't the next Lebron I was for sure overlooked and basically neglected. Trying to learn all this omo in my 30's has been a challenge to say the least. Thank you for providing some new insight into how to get to the rim. It's something I struggle with for sure.
