To all the young guys and girls out there. I played on a semi high level 25 years ago, this video is pure gold. Nobody back than was teaching that stuff. You had to figure it out for yourself. Listen, watch and practice. Don't take information like that for granted. Cheers
To all my younger players be mindful of holding the ball too long to make a decision. Alot of your offenses won't give you time to make some of these moves.

This guy is so encouraging, like it feels like he cares deeply abt everyone's progression. really wish I would've had a coach like this when I tried to start playing organized in hs (my coach looved to play favorites). i loved watching the nba and i loved playing the sport, and i can handle the ball well, but god i was some str8 dogwater in-game cus the second i got the ball i would tense up and get scared. but now i dont worry as much if i mess up a play or 2. mistakes happen, contact is drawn, as long as youre learning from your mistakes, you will always progress.
Omg, that's happening to me😿. I'm training in a club and during the workouts I don't have any problems, but as soon as I'm in a match, I feel a lot of pressure and tense up like there's no tomorrow, and I can't do layups because I don't want to lose the ball and mess everything up. I know basketball is a sport where contact is important, but I don't know how to control my nervousness

Coach, I know I'm late to the party with my comment, however, I just gotta tell you that your words at the end of the video are exactly what I personally needed to hear. But more importantly, I believe it's exactly what these young men need to learn and carry throughout their lives, especially coming out of the last few years we all endured. Thank you for doing you, coach.
@Dick White true like always but the knowledge they have early on now is insane. I was a very hard working d1aa player but if I had that training early on in high school or middle school I wonder if I would’ve been that much better
LOL We learned more than most of these moves ourselves playing back in the 90s @ 12/13. These kids today just don't practice so they're high teens still learning basics.
Generally speaking the attack has advantage over defense when the ball is with the right guy. Just put to play together the best players for defense and attack...the later will prevail most of the time, either by scoring or getting a fault. Basketball is somewhat unfair with defenders (one on one) however as a team, defense can be as effective as what Lakers did with Miami game 6.
I would HIGHLY recommend taking the master class; I took it one day and at my next basketball game, I played better than I have ever played and got the winning shot
I play 5v5 with seniors that are really competitive and good they know how to make plays I’m only a freshman and sometimes I get nervous because I don’t wanna mess up and I always get pressed and I turn it over can u do a video on how to handle tight pressure defense
U don't let the defenders energy dictate what u do. Even if someone is all over u, u calm down..turn to a post position..keep ur head up and look for the right pass then u keep moving without the ball. Do a fake pass before every pass with an aggressive defense
i’m the same i’m a freshman too and in games all the 6 5 seniors press me. you just have to practice going from 0-100 to 0 again. like when you get the inbound you start off slow, and then explode for a lil then slow again, or the opposite. i’m not nearly as athletic or fast, but if ur smart with it you’ll be able to beat them on a press. You really only need to beat the press once, then they’ll back up
well your aim is to win every time so every little detail actually matters a lot. like a LOT. one single thing leads to another and that first step you take is what determines the rest. NBA players has been emphasizing the attention to detail for a long time yet some kids just wanna be curry and chuck every three pointer smh.
What I can say... Perfectly right motivation with perfect examples. fantastic. Not only saying that someone needs to do this or that, but also explaining why to do this giving a proof to every statement which is made. Simply perfect...
Man I wish had a coach like this. All coaches I had it was obvious they didn't even like their job. They didn't teach us anything and then got mad at us when we lost a match against other schools. I ended up not liking basketball and eventually stopped playing for a very long time. Now I feel like I can't get back into playing as I feel that I'm very very bad to the point that I'm not even having fun when I play. My shooting and dribbling is awful and don't think I can do it anymore. You are a great coach and the way you do your job is amazing because your students are learning and improving a lot because of you, you motivate them to keep going and to discover their true potential, continue doing your thing.

Nice vid. Basic triple threat. It is definitely effective if you have a solid jumper. A defender with quick hands can steal the ball the way it’s being held though. And a long defender with some decent lateral quickness can still disrupt the shot. I really liked the video though. Thanks.
If I could go back in time, I would never let anyone (mostly family and friends) talk me down. I used to say that I will end up in NBA. My father would laugh. My cousin played back in the day in Italy in a second league team, came to visit me and after we played he wanted me to go there and join the team. He said to the coaches there that i am really good and only 16 y.o. Eventually my mom, who first agreed to send me, declined. So I never went. Sucks.
