      Wisearse-brain forces me to note, that a tan, while not as bad as a burn, still is a sign of sundamage. SPF is your BFF 😬✌️

    I agree with you about pot size for indoor trees. I planted my fig in a 20 inch before I knew you weren’t supposed to and it grew HUGEand very healthy

    As a mom of a now 1 y/o, I highly, highly recommend utilizing as many plant watering hacks as you can before baby comes 🙃 Terracotta plant nannies: 12/10. Love your content! Sorry for the unsolicited advice 😅

    The viola will get really big leaves and is easy. I love caudata but mine is fairly slow growing. Chelsea is easy too and lovely and is the sunrise.

    You are so right about estate sales! Most of my collection of terra cotta came from estate sales. I also have purchased tons of bonsai planters at estate sales. I used to really like to go on the last day when there is a discount and buy in bulk!

  • @LulaMae21
    @LulaMae21 ปีที่แล้ว

    I killed my first moonlight by letting it dry out too much and for too long. My current one has done better with more consistent watering. It suffered after not getting watered for a month in March while my grandmother was on hospice. Hoping it'll perk up again lol.

  • @roots_and_ruin
    @roots_and_ruin ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Good shout on the treubii moonlight maybe not liking drying out 🤔 i bought one a similar size, which now has one single leaf - probably because i was letting it dry out since all the care videos suggest that 😂

    • @BeccaDeLaPlants
      @BeccaDeLaPlants  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hahahah right! I always saw that too but it definitely didn’t work for me.

    • @LulaMae21
      @LulaMae21 ปีที่แล้ว

      It definitely doesn't like to dry out too much--I killed my first one that way, by consistently underwatering it and letting it dry out too much. My current one suffered in March when my plants got neglected while dealing with a family crisis. Hopefully it'll perk up again.

      It was sold to me as a Velvet a couple of years ago. I'm sure now there's known varieties. It's never bloomed for me so I'll be excited to see if it ever does then maybe I'll know what exactly it is lol. Thank you for the info so now I at least know where to start the research!

    Not sure if this is any help but my scindapsus moonlight was in a bright room and was being watered when the top two inches dried out and it put out zero growth and started to die. Moved it to a darker spot, planted it in terracotta and now only water it every 3 weeks… tonnes of healthy new growth. Very bizarre.
