manifesting for you becca!!! thank u for being real with us -- i've had to throw away some plants that died (i saved as many wet sticks as possible) and felt like the worst plant mom, this made me feel much better
This idea hit me when Becca was speaking of strawberry pots and l remembered that l have an hanging orchid planter... I'm going to pot my pilea into it in hope that it'll workout as l imagined :D
I sold my monstera after frowning at it for many months. Sometimes we just have to say goodbye to our plants due to many reasons. But then there’s the amazing journey for a new little guy to join the menagerie! Always changes in our growing plant family.
Thanks for keeping it real with the plant neglect and loss. I’ve lost a few this winter and have had some serious guilt about it. Also love the idea of trying a strawberry pot for the pilea! Would love to see how that goes!
I have just done a couple days of plant care: watering, cleaning & organizing their space, repotting a couple and yikes, finding aphids on 2 (one was treated, the other tossed!). Loved the video and yes, you’re definitely inspiring!✨
I would love to see another “dealing with big plants” video. You can’t just take them to the sink and somehow I forget how to water them when they get so big! How do you do it?
If your Pilea starts to grow tall and leggy, chop it off at the base and stick the whole thing in a separate pot,it will keep growing mature leaves, and the mother plant will grow smaller leaves at first but eventually it does catch up! I have chopped and propped so many as gifts to friends and family!
Hey Becca! Really love your channel. I have the same Soltech Aspect light for my Monsteras as well. My Deliciosa prefers to be a bit further away than yours is currently. I went through the same thing with positioning mine in my space. It started showing less signs of stress once I adjusted it a bit further away and changed the plant stand to add distance. The light also comes with a reference guide for how far to have the light for different plants. Hope this helps!
First off, great video! When I saw you watering your plants in the sink, it made me think of a recent purchase I made! It’s one of those roll out dish drying racks that are metal rods. They have changed my sink watering game! And they are only like, 8 or 9 bucks usually. I feel like my plants drain better, and it’s easier to catch water to reuse if that’s your jam. The whole thing rolls up to save space, and I store it under my sink for easy access. ALSO I am a messy car person. I like the idea of the catch all container. Maybe keep some old shopping bags, plastic or reusable, in it. Then the container catches everything but you have a tote or a bag to carry things in and out. And if you forget to bring the bag back outside, at least you still have the container there to catch the things.
The pots for herbs would be so cute for the Pilea, I see what you're saying! So relatable with the messy car people 🙋♀️ I'm adhd so everything's a bit messy haha
I love your chore videos! They always inspire me to get to mine 🫣🤭 what plant do you have hanging off your little balcony? I saw it in your plant tour video and today but I don’t think you’ve ever mentioned what it was/is?
I have a Ruggable rug and I washed it for the first time last week. I was so disappointed that the spills from my grandsons sippy cups, not only did not come out, but got darker so they show up more now.
I hope you are a guest on XO MaCenna, maybe you can get her to put some big plants in her new home in LA, it has lots of windows. Both you ladies are such an inspiration, I love watching videos from both of you.!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This was a lovely way to get my day started! I tidied my living room and got the breakfast dishes done with you. Manifesting you on XOMakenna's podcast in 2023!
How about a tutorial on macrame? You can do a step by step and we can do it along with you? I used to macrame 100 years ago and I have forgotten how, but would love to make some for my home now. Just a thought? ❄️💚🙃
The planter from West Elm, while it is very beautiful, because of the shape going from narrow to wide to narrow would be very difficult if you ever had to repot it. Just my opinion. I'm sure you must have a Dollar Tree in your area. Every Spring they come out with a stackable planter. Each one has 3 openings for plants. You can stack another or as many as you want. It is plastic. Comes in terracotta color.
No I don’t always do it :) it’s a “best practice” esp if the previous plant was sick but I only do it during the off season when I have a lot of empty pots usually.
It would be pretty much impossible to dig up a christmas tree with all his roots, if its plantet right into the ground, its roots are already like everywhere If you want to plant one, you need to buy one, that was cultivated in a pot from the beginning
I think your definition of neglected and my definition of neglected are way, way different. When I neglect my plants, they usually have to be thrown away...
manifesting for you becca!!! thank u for being real with us -- i've had to throw away some plants that died (i saved as many wet sticks as possible) and felt like the worst plant mom, this made me feel much better
Try to plant the pilea into a orchid planter. The pups will pop out from every hole that the planter has;)
I love that idea. I'm going to have to try that!
Ok..I never wanted a pilea...but This idea is awesome..and I'm getting one now. 😜
😯 stealing this idea!!!

I love my cordless Dyson vacuum too! So easy to maneuver around plants!

Your videos are such a treat. And always enjoy seeing your pups.

Yes I trained the piles in strawberry pot. For me it was a slow death. It lived about a year then boom just started dying🥲
Spell check lol. Tried Pilea pepperomia I loved that plant
Oh man!!! Sad to hear that :(
I LOVE turning on your videos whenever I’m doing any plant chores. Luckily enough you posted this right in the middle of me doing that!! ❤
I would love to see another “dealing with big plants” video. You can’t just take them to the sink and somehow I forget how to water them when they get so big! How do you do it?
Absolutely!! It’s on my list now 🌿
I have my big plants on piece of wood with wheels on. And I'm just rollllllling them into the shower.
@@BeccaDeLaPlants looking forward to it
Definitely feeling inspired to clean that stack of pots I've been ignoring!
It’s the most satisfying chore!!

You are so welcome! Brings a smile to my face to hear that :)
Your always an inspiration to me. Fingers crossed you get to with MaCenna I love her videos and now the podcast.
Thank you so much!!
planterina hat a hanging Pilea that grew pups from the drainage holes accidentally and it made it look like a giant Pilea orb. it was awesome!

I love MaCenna too. It would be a hoot to see y’all together on her podcast.

Thank you for telling me this!!! Makes me feel better about the current state of the plant 😂 I’ll be making some asjustmentsv
I have never seen someone planting a pancake plant in a strawberry pot, but that's a great idea! If you are going to try it, please keep us updated!
I totally will!!
I am absolutely planting my propagating pilea in a orchid pot today! They have holes too. What a great idea.
That’s so fun! I bet it’ll look awesome
100% yess for the strawberry pot!

Oh those roll out things are so cool!!! Also yes I feel like if I used the car container it would help me a ton, I need to get it back in the car 😂
And great tip on keeping bags in it!!! I love that idea

I would love to see a pilea in a strawberry pot!
I have a vintage strawberry pot that I've never used, but am now intrigued by your idea of planting a pilea in it. I might give it a try...Thanks!
Some good tips👍
💚🌵🌱☘️💚
ooohh! I love the colour combo on those sheets!
I love the strawberry pot idea! I think that would be so cool to see a pilea peperomioides in it ^_^

This was a lovely way to get my day started! I tidied my living room and got the breakfast dishes done with you. Manifesting you on XOMakenna's podcast in 2023!
I have a soltech over my monstera and it loves it,, but i have to water pretty often to compensate for the high light.
Oooh okay yes that totally makes sense
Any tips for pot organization?
Your talking videos are so entertaining i just now realised that there's no background music while you speak
It was so sad to see the fittonia bowl get dumped :( and I agree with you on how cute the spider plant babies look!
I’ll have to go buy a new spider plant to harvest babies 😂
Boston Fern. They are pretty easy
Great video! Loves these 💙
Success! Loved another video!
Thanks so much :)
What about using the spray paint that looks like pottery? Maybe if you went with a more sleek plastic pot and then use the pottery spray.
Na na na na na na na na sheets of Brooklinen cotton 😂😂😂
I'm not usually one to pay a whole lot of attention to the sponsor ads but I really need some new bedding and that Brooklinen looks amazing. 😍
Been sleeping in it for a week now and it’s so dreamy 😭
Can I just say that you and Fern pick some of the best music for your videos. I bet you guys have good taste in music. What's that first song???
Thank you Becca. ❄️💚🙃 You inspire me always. ❄️💚🙃 Any sewing projects coming up? ❄️💚🙃 Greenhouse updates? ❄️💚🙃
The spider plant is gorgeous…..leave the babies please 😂❤
Lol I think I will!
Where is your cardigan from?
Hey Becca, I love your cushions on the bed, where did you get them from?
Chicken Salad Chicks is my favorite!!!
Omg it’s so good
@@BeccaDeLaPlants that grape salad is so yummy!!

Anyone know the song playing at 20:20 of the video? I googled the lyrics and google said mind my own business.
Good morning from Louisiana
Your lemon lime philodendron/neon pothos is a beaut. Can never tell the difference between those two. Doesn't matter though-I just love the color.
Right!! It’s so striking. Love the color!
Good morning from big bear California!
Hello there!!! 🌞
Good morning from CA 😀
Good morning!! :)
Ma’am!!!! How did you get that mustard color?! I’m not seeing it when I build the luxe hardcore set!
Ahh man I think it was a limited color and no longer available :(

Who is that patient lady at 15:00? She's gorgeous!
Was anyone else anxious when Becca was making the bed?? I was so worried she was going to hit her head on the ceiling fan😅
LOL omg I almost did.. several times 😂😭
I think the light is def too bright. All my monsteras thrive under lower light
I’ve bought some huge gorgeous ceramic pots from joann fabrics for super cheap and amazing quality, bet no one thinks to check there😉
Ooh!! I’ll check there!
There and also Marshall’s/TJ Maxx/Homegoods
Are we supposed to be washing pots before reusing them? 😬 I just reuse them lol
No I don’t always do it :) it’s a “best practice” esp if the previous plant was sick but I only do it during the off season when I have a lot of empty pots usually.
