Thanks for the video! Finally dropped the cash and got me a gmmk pro. Was wondering what the QMK stuff was and this hits it perfectly. The glorious program seems to be pretty good now; at least comparing it to what some of the comments have been saying.

Why can't I get the QMK Toolbox to see my GMMK2? I don't even want to flash a custom firmware. I just need to reflash the factory firmware because the reset option doesn't work.
I had an "unknown usb device descriptor request failed" message when I did this can you please tell me what this might mean or why this could be happening?
So I have a GMMK Pro that isn't going into the bootloader mode. I've disassembled and tried a few things with the "BOOT" button on the PCB.
I've tried holding it when plugging it in for up to 30 seconds, clicking it multiple times, etc.
Any pointers on using that button or have you messed with it?

When in GMK Toolbox, when I put my keyboard into bootloader mode, it says "stm32 dfu device has no driver driver assigned but should be winusb. flashing may not succeed." I wasn't able to find a fix for it. What should I do?

QMK doesn't support OpenRGB by itself so you'd need to find a version that does.

Hey, I just did this today with my GMMK pro. I was wondering if it was normal for the rotary dial to stop working? is there anyway to restore the function of the volume dial?
This is, unforunately, normal. I would recommend compiling your own QMK firmware from source code; you can define the basic rotary functionality there. Alternatively, you can use Vial-compatible QMK firmware - it's the only solution I've found for remapping the volume knob functions in a GUI (and without reflashing firmware every time you want to change).
You can fix it in the QMK CLI. I made a Reddit post.

You definitely can with QMK
You want to check what revision your PCB is before making a firmware. I made one with a Rev2 off QMK configurator and it locked my board up. Had to take it apart and hit the reset button to flash it back stock. Rev1 works fine on mine.

There's a physical reset button on the pcb you can press to put it into bootloader mode. It requires taking apart the case.

idk why but my brand new GMMK pro is now completely unresponsive after following these steps.. after flashing the firmware the keyboard went completely dark and i cant even put it on DFU mode to reset it to default
Running on a Mac, and got the firmware loaded up with my custom keymap, but of course, the rotary knob doesn't have its volume functionality now… Is there any way to get a custom keymap, AND the rotary knob functionality, without having to have a master’s degree in computer science? 😂😭

I came across the problem that once I got past the flash step, my keyboard completely stopped working. Everytime I try to plug it in from there, it keeps saying that the usb device was not recognized. How do I fix this?
this is why im not gonnd do this you can change rthe latency in the glorious software and still have rgb support

for some reason my win doesnt work now but fn + win does. also i cant get to bootloader even if i didnt touch the layer 1 settings. last option would be the physical button at the back, right?

@@Yozak yeah just fixed it now. never touched the back screws after a while cos mine was shipped with the stripped screws. had to use a reverse drill to fix that up. i hate glorious bc of that 😅

@@rostrata777 Yup, I did. I had to open the back plate. Once you open it, there is a tiny button next to the chip, hold that and connect the USB. This should put the keyboard back in bootloader mode. I flashed glorious software again and removed QMK. Keyboard too expensive to brick haha

@@Yozak i install custom keymap via QMK, but after that i cannot set my GMMK Pro to DFU again (space + B) to flash stock firmware!
But after research on internet i found that can use combination key "fn + \" instead of "space + B" to go to DFU, you can edit your bio for someone who in the same situation as me

Dunno if it's VIA bug or inappropriate QMK firmware, but some keyboards will not work if You forget to turn off RGB before system shutdown. If someone has this problem there's solution:

There's a link to the glorious core firmware in the description. You should be able to press FN and \ at the same time to get back into the bootloader.

"Glorious core isnt really userfriendly", proceeds to configure on QMK website after finding model in hundreds of other models, compile, download firmware and put keyboard into bootloader mode after having installed an extra tool and flash onto keyboard.
Core is very barebones atm, but i do find it pretty userfriendly.
Don't get me wrong, Glorious core software is literal garbo~ but man I found it pretty funny when you said that it wasn't, quote, *_"user friendly"_* ..... and then you proceed to introduce the viewer to QMK. Talk about user friendly my guy.
