Seulgi's always been my bias in Red Velvet, her voice is so unique, that tone is just excellent and this debut did justice to every talent she has.
Pd: Taemin has a song with her called Heart Stop and not only the song is so good but her voice there shines A LOT.

I love love looove this concept for Seulgi. She’s such a sweet person and has great duality when she’s performing so this concept feels natural for her. She was using her voice in so many different ways & killing the choreo! I’m living. 💛
This song showcase how much all rounder Seulgi is she's a main dancer but can also be main vocal not to mention she can also rap, write and her visual no words to explain plus she's an artist (can draw and paint).

Well... My own theory is that she's the Black Mamba (at least the evil her) in SM Universe, because firstly at the beginning of the song the beat reminds me of Illusion by aespa which the song itself tells the pov of the villain (Black Mamba) and you see the good her looked covered in wounds and seemed like won the battle with the evil her that only tells you in aespa's Girls MV the Black Mamba was defeated.

no joke though but among all the reaction videos i've watched, yours is the only reaction video that made me barely focused on the mv, instead the reactor got my attention because you're so funny and very relatable 🤣 I won't rush you but I will patiently wait for your reaction with her whole album because I have this feeling that you will react the same way I did haha All the songs included in the album are all so good!!! There's definetely a play on duality both in the lyrics and the Mv itself, the message of fight between good and evil is pretty straightfoward, Seulgi confirms this in the reaction video with the RV members --- th-cam.com/video/w6zrqqRvdVM/w-d-xo.html
From what I percieved, at first good and evil are more clearly separated, there's even parallel scenes when laying on the mattress, one at the very beginning (1:53) then the bad side which we see wondering around the old building (5:17). Both sides clash, almost seems (like you said) that evil is winning and taking control of the good (6:29). But when the second chorus arrives we see Seulgi wearing a white outfit that seems to be a combination of elements from the good/evil (and the back dancers hae combined black and white in their outfits too).
And here is where the lines get blurry.
In the bridge the B&W scene I kinda see it as her subconsious talking and being honest about what it's happening but we don't know if it's the good side feeling guilty or the bad admiting of awareness of what they're doing ("I'm playing with you like a kid") or both sides going back and forward (like you said, saying something either really questionable or saying something vulnerable).
At the finale there's a scene where she's using the mixed white outfit and we see her burning the matress, I feel that's the moment where both sides combine into one, and saying "Good and evil coexist in one person" hits in. Maybe the whole MV is a build up of that very thing, the coexisting of good/bad within ourselves. (I'm still not sure if the more dancing focused scenes also play into this story or that's just performance purpouses, still really bad ass, shout out to Seulgi for creating the choreography).
I also went to see the album trailer, apparently Seulgi really went for horror vibes, there's many stuff inspired/related to Asian horror films, I'm so glad she has gone further in this path after what was going on in "Monster" with Irene. I'll wait patiently to your reaction of the album, I'm sure a lot of the meanings will take more structure as we hear what the rest of the tracks have to offer🖤.
