I watched every single one of them but somehow Five Little Pigs stuck with me more than others. It is a tragedy, a crime of envy, and a great love between two sisters. One can do nothing else than to shed a tear.
Usually soundtracks are merely cues for the dumb audience to be told what to feel. But this is an exception, an emphatic piece for Caroline Crale in honour of her supreme sacrifice. It is an ode to love and human spirit.
Watched Five Little Pigs for the first time last night, one of the darker ones. ITV's Poirot (and Marple) are unrivalled in TV whodunnits. The music is sublime as well.
Imho, Agatha Christie's second best book (only surpassed by And Then There Were None). Deserves so much more attention and recognition. Beautiful music. Perfect (for the story). From an incredible adaptation. {important note: I have read all 80 of Christie's crime novels and novella / short story collections}
I just can't keep silent. This piece is so beautiful that I let my tears drop whenever I listen to it. I grew up watching these series. Especially, this episode is the most sentimental one for me. The words, thoughts and feelings are expressed very professionally. I mean in every way a brilliant actor can make it. Thanks to Agatha Christie, I could feel the sorrow, love of a woman such as Caroline Crale who loved her husband and felt a burden and a feeling of guilt for making her step-sister disabled in her one eye all her life although she is fictional. Poor Caroline thought she was doing the right thing which she could feel better with. But who knew that sometimes truth doesn't own an ability to express itself. I think no other word can describe how talented A. Christie was.
This is my first time going through the Poirot series and this episode hit particularly hard thanks in no small part to this piece… Strange. I’m used to Aiden Gillen dying on TV being a good thing.🫤

It's a masterpiece.
I felt exactly the same.
what Poirot often confronted in his career is not the darkness of humanity, but the tragedy.
This episode is actually exactly how i imagined the story when i read it.
The actors, the score and of course the plot.
10/10
So much memories, souvenirs. This sweet music mixed with moment eternally lost. A bitter sweet beauty that I can’t abandon.
Bittersweet music compliments a perfect Poirot episode.
The Composer captured the sadness of this Christie classic to perfection.

And then there were none is a book I wish i could read with complete surprise again… such a haunting book and same with this one.
Such a beautiful and sad piece of music. This song embodies a bittersweet tragedy.

This is my favourite episode also. Mesmerizing.
A. What was the incident that made Crisite feel guilty?
@@nejlanurokcu2016not Christie but her fictional character Caroline Crale felt guilty as she made her sister blind in one eye.
