Purple heart Marine. Read a letter that was written to his dad who has now passed away and was posted on the Toy Caldwell Appreciation Page on FB several years ago that he carried a fellow marine quite a long way to safety. He said he had written this prior to MTB existence. There is a song with a picture of a service member with a rifle thrown over one shoulder, a guitar over the other. I can almost see the guy turn around and it be Toy. Miss you so much...our boys...Toy, Tommy. George. Rest in peace. You left behind a beautiful gift of music... all of MTB. Semper Fi Toy & Tommy. And thanks Doug for your service in the Army.

Live they actually have time to play their solos, the album version is too short. This is a 5-7 minute song they shortened to under 4 minutes for radio play.

I dated the best guy in the whole world (sorry, hubby of 32 years! LOL!) when MTB was popular. He was truly a country boy and could do anything and didn't need tobacco, guns or troublemaking like some "country" fans do today. He built the most beautiful log cabin homes and it broke my heart when he had a major stroke and will never be the same., because they just don't make men like him anymore. I liked all their songs, but my favorite was always "property line". Guess I was hoping he would marry me, build me a log home in the woods and share our love forever. There is just something positive and catchy about that song with the sweet lyrics of a guy falling in love and wanting to "walk his property line". Thanks for the memories forever John, xoxoxo
