For those who have problems with @02:30 falloff:
when you hit Falloff, you'll see some fields: Linear Field, mograph object, clamp, and a folder+
hit Linear Filed. Then will appear another line of options. Under the Field section you will find Direction, change that as the parameter of the video.
And so on

When I click Falloff, the interface is totally different from the tutorial. I tried adding a "Linear Field" under the "Field"table, nothing happened... /n\ The table have Name/Blending/Opacity. Thanks

Excellent tutorial. I completed this in R23. The 'Falloff' tab has changed to 'Fields'. Select 'Linear Field' and make the changes you need. It will not be a neat 1:1 conversion of the settings, but it still works.

If you have R21 and you're at 2:38, also click "Clip to shape", because apparently the UI for this step is different now and that extra step is needed. Edit: Not sure if that's right now.

Yeah, the Falloff on Plain options are probably different now. Not sure how to fix my issues with this tut now. The falloff makes the circles jerk back to being squares as soon as it passes through the other ends.

Sir your really good at teaching, I'm really learning alot about Cinema 4D thanks to you but while learning this tutorial I'm facing a problem while attempting the fall off process as I'm not able to find the same options as you have in the falloff options I only have the option called Field the Cinema 4D version I'm using is a demo version called S22.016 (RC) please help me understand how i should go about this ? thank you

I use the 2024 version. Adding the rigid body tag to the sphere isn't making it float.

Thanks, another great tut! However the plane material you show at the beginning doesn't match the one at the end. The first one is more diffused and blurry while the one at the end looks a bit rough. How did you change that? (I am referring to the HDRI material for the sky)

How to set the falloff in R20 version in C4D, I get different shape falloff > Linear Field

I want to play a video in a object(3d cube) suppose it is of 15 sec and i want that video should play only for 4-5 sec rest of time any image from video should be displayee how can i do it??

@@jessmiller3579 I R21, when I turn up modify clone under Parameter it instantly changes from a sphere to a cube at 100%, I think the problem has something to do with that

Hi, I am trying this in Cinema 4D R 20, when I am using the mograph effector - plain in this falloff is not comming what you are showing it showing some different like field it will not showing shape are like that plz answer whats wrong is happening

Using S24.035 I have set the Falloff Linear +Y as described below with new Falloff settings, but cube snaps / not blends from cube to sphere. Have Clone blending set to 100% . but cant get it to morph smoothly ? If you could update as tutorial is not compatible with C4D updated . Thanks
Solved: Cube was not checked to be filet. so was trying to morph from filleted cube ( sphere ) to non fillet cube ( cube ) = snap

Go to the Cloner - Object, change the Clones Mode to Blend
@@allengao9825 Thanks but I've checked my settings and they are exactly the same, set to "blend" and it still pops. I can see it fading to a different colour when i move the PLAIN but the actual shape of the object just pops between sphere and square, it doesn't "blend". thanks

1:25 I get pinching/division lines on the surface of my sphere so when I add a material it doesn't wrap seamlessly into the surface. How can I avoid that?
