  • These are the tact switches that you MUST change if you're looking to fix up your MPC 2500/1000.
    You can also just buy the boards with brand new switches, if that's what you prefer: www.mpcstuff.c...

    I just replaced all my pcb boards and installed large lcd. Works excellent, love this machine.

    People trying this at home: please grab a few cups, a piece of paper to label what’s in each cup.. throw the screws in the cups so u can put the right screws back in the right place!

    I recently changed my pcb board as well. Great minds think alike. I even posted a video on how I did this for the mpc 1000. Nice job

    Awesome video! I just got my MPC 2500 L.E. #408 around December, and I’ve noticed a few issues with the F buttons 😅

    Hi! You did change the faceplate right? Is not the original. Do you know where to get an original faceplate or from other site appart from mpc stuff? Thanks!

    Best channel on youtube for the mpc 2500! I have a request.. Can you make a video about moving samples/events on the grid? Seems not to work with me. When i go to grid mode and select a event, then move - few clicks on the jogwheel - do it- nothing happens.. I'm on JJOS3 ver 2.41 hope this version is not the problem. Thanks!

    Remember!! If you remove the jog wheel remember to put it back in the same position you removed it in, or else it's going to not turn properly

    I had issues w my function keys not working- replaced them and the issue still occured. Turns out it was an issue w the right side pcb board, guess it wasnt screwed in enough because something wasnt making contact. But this ended up fixing it and all my buttons work flawlessly. Sad bcuz ig I didnt have to replace the function tact switches

      I had this happen with the left side board once. The lights weren't going on but everything else worked. Turns out I didn't have the ribbon cable in tight enough.

    Cursor and function buttons fail the most. Good video man!

    Heey man, enjoy your tutorials! Have an issue with pads retriggering, super annoying, just bought the 2500 2nd hand, my first mpc and now this issue, makes it hard to record. What could it be and is it an expensive fix? Cheers mate

      If you mean the pads triggering twice when you hit them, it happens especially with the fat pads. Make sure you have it on "full level" and hit the pads hard enough. I find if I hit them too light it sometimes triggers twice.

    I just changede all of the tack switches in my 2500, and im about to change the hard drive to a sd card
    - And i was wondering, do you guys know if it´s possible to upgrade the usb to a usb 3.0??

    • @illmuzik
      @illmuzik  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I doubt it. Even though 1.0 is slow, I only use it to transfer some drumkits and to backup my projects to my computer. It takes a bit of time but it's not that bad. It's not something you'd be using all the time since it's only for transferring files.

    • @AndersAlstad

      @@illmuzik The sd card should be faster but I'm just trying to upgrade it as much as possible.. :-)

    Anybody knows a alternative shop? Had bad experiences with mpcstuff

  • @HanHuman
    @HanHuman 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Tact switches can be found for less than 1$ per switch. MPC stuff asks 5$ /switch, ridiculous.

    • @illmuzik
      @illmuzik  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah their markup is really high. It's best to get them on Mouser!
