I don’t even think the Rolex claim is the hottest take on the clip. The claim that a “bust down” AP is a step up from a factory AP is. Factory AP’s are often significantly more expensive than the custom one and they definitely hold value better.
Depends on who you are aswell, I make a few hundred grand a year and dont care to have a rolex purley because everyone has them. They're not rare and exclusive anymore, I prefer omega, breitling even tag heuer.
@ bullshit. If you make 200k and live in San Francisco, your tax is around $75k per year just in state and federal. That leaves you with 125k per year to live on. Rent alone is 50k leaving you with 75k. Food is another 20k per year taking you to 55k. That doesn’t include utilities and energy, which of the highest in the country, parking and transportation, etc etc.
I bought a brand new Rolex Datejust after I built a new home, paid cash for a new vehicle, and had several million. It was a gift to me. For achieving my goals. It represents the journey and the hard work. I have no problem with it. I've since purchased several more high-end watches since that Datejust. However, that Datejust is still special to me.
My sub was a gift for saving my boss 45000$( i jumped into a rough sea to save a 30kg packet of hash on a smuggling job)i would never have bought one myself
This isn't accurate at all. I make far more than a few hundred K a year. I won't get into numbers. I own about 15 Rolex watches ranging from Datejusts to Daydates to Subs, as well as a Cartier Skeleton, AP, IWC and more. With all of the watches I have tried on in my life, nothing is a more comfortable watch than a Datejust with a jubilee band. I wear them more than any of my other watches. It's also a watch that can let your clients know, I'm successful, but your money is going towards your build, and not towards buying me a 6 or 7 figure watch. Now, if you own just one entry level Datejust, this might apply.
I’m just a plumber I make 140k a year. I’m about to make the jump from a zenith ceramic to a AP royal oak. 2025 is the year we find out how to make more $ to get that v10 r8 I want in the garage. Get after it boys
Rolex Poor man’s watch trying to look rich. That’s why the second hand market is so big. You can’t have 30 grand on your wrist but only 1800 bucks in your bank account.
If you make 200-300k a year I don’t think it’s necessary to have a watch more expensive than a datejust 😂 and I’m not the most financially conservative guy in the world…
A few hundred is accurate tho bro I make 120k a year in the DMV, can’t imagine adding a Rolex to my monthly payments but I have a Tudor and longines and other watches lol but no Rolex just yet.
Monthly payments? Don’t finance luxury items (short of an automobile, I suppose). Anyone that cannot scrape together $10k for an entry level piece should save until they can make the full purchase, not turn a depreciating watch into an $18k piece that will sell or trade for $6k a few months after purchase. 😉
Couple grand a year 😂then your def not in the starting to make a little money range. If you make 200k a year. Then you would be more in the range of entry level AP or mid range rolex
😂this clown 🤡 literally just said/repeated what buddy said🤦♂️ come on, bro you can make your own content😅 he kind of fell off and those other jeweler TikTokers popped off. It’s OK I get it.🤷♂️🤦♂️

Yeah the guy in the original video doesn’t exactly have class
It depends entirely on where you live. A few hundred grand in Mississippi is very different from a few hundred grand in Los Angeles or New York.

doesnt matter where you live, with $200k a year for a few years you can afford a $40k watch unless you're living way beyond your means

That watch walked in five minutes before I did! 😂

Watching this bold dude smug face actually makes despise Rolex/AP/etc even more.

Yup he does ….

If your not lying RESPECT dude🫡. Don’t inflate your cranium but your a legend and 100% leave it to a loved one!
I (and the DEA) have LOTS of questions about this 🤣
@RiskyDecisionsHQ it's ok I got nicked and did jail time ,it's water under the bridge
@@RiskyDecisionsHQ not dea , Spain Morocco, got caught did time, still was worth It,
Agree with the income levels
What about the ap perpetual calendar? What does that say
Why my watch is connected to my income 😅 I thought we were what we like 😀

A few hundred grand would be 300k and up - 120k isn’t a few hundred / that’s the issue
How do you make $120k at the DMV? Been there 20 years?
@ DC, Maryland, Virginia. Not department of motor vehicles.
@@Watchlover371 x2 it’s pretty much up there, so x2 my monthly income it’s not hard to imagine nor look up the exact amount…
I don't think that I will step up my game even if I earn more. The more expensive watches get the dumber they look. A Rolex is a really nice watch.
My first money watch was not a Rolex!
