@@MrShortstint tire savings and throttle control is definite thing to watch during 40 lap+ races, even less than 40 if there are cautions involved. pits, fuel savings and tire will in the end affect your overall position. Hey, look at mansell in 93 he went to indy and won the series, actually preformed better on ovals than he did on road courses at that time. that's why i really enjoy indy, you get the precision of open wheel racing, on ovals and road course without the stock car bumping tightness.
Well now,... I took Forza for my first spin. It took myself a minuet to fin the input for my VRS pedals. Once I got that straightened out I then figured out how to lose the race line and remove some assist settings. I have much to learn in the ropes of Forza fun. It's fun! I like your wheel shorty! I'm looking forward to gaining access to NASCAR. I still need to get familiar with the Forza platform and adjust the forced feedback engine more as well. So... I've spent a few thousand bucks on my rig.... & growing. I did well for just taking it for a test drive so I hopped back in and I am quite new to Forza platform like I mentioned. Ok so I chose practice mode. I noticed it was a shorter version of Laguna. Instead of the Mario Andretti hair pin turn, it routes me around that and cuts over to a familiar turn that I can push hard and then uphill until we take that sharp turn in the Bobby Rahal straights! Ok.... game on! I haven't done anything to the sims controls for my GT-DD pro yet regarding FFB. It feels great! So after about 4 min of this then we had a break and started to race. I screwed up and crashed once. Got back in it! Ghost off track a tad once no penalty. I traded paint with somebody as he passed me , within reason! LOL He passed me. I caught up to his tail across the finish at 7th! I'll take it! My fist ever online live race. I can do better! I love the way it felt! The way it would drift. Other drivers slide off track and mega dirt and dust goes flying! Blinding! I just finished a 2 year program with iracing. I'd take it out and drive their IR18 which is impressive. I didn't do any online activity as it seems to $$ and a lot of trouble to just do some racing. I was just in a beginner area here I think. But they were fast. And without hard feelings. Man O Man!
