Also sad but true tip if you are REALLY desperate you can likely find line and a hook around your local fisheries, picking them up is a great way to help. Nice catches those will be a good meal for you and the dogs.

VERY TRUE. I see more hooks and line littering alot of the banks than I can keep track of. Alot of casual fishing folks are litterbugs 😩

I have got the most super hobo handline that you ever saw. Got the basic design from Blackie Thomas and improved on it. Guess what? I have not yet had a chance to take it down to the big dam yet and won't until Summet because we've had flood rains here and even in Summer the approach to the big dam is very marshy. To get there NOW you'll probably need the QE2! How's it cutting, Barney? Married life seems REALLY to be agreeing with you and your new house is lovely. Love the roses!

I did this yesterday! I built my own handliner out of an old walking stick I had. Went out an caught a bunch of blugill with worms from my yard on a bobber. THe casting is so satisfying. Kinda proud of myself. Even caught a turtle who wanted one of the blugill more than me. Thanks for the inspiration!!! Super fun. Wish I could post pics. I'll follow on Insta.

Nice bluegills. No minimum size in maryland. Last time i turned over a small log I encountered a black snake. We both went our separate ways unharmed. Thanks

Good video bud, love content like this. Shout out again from Canada! I prefer leeches to worms, but you usually need to trap them atleast overnight. So worms are way easier to scrounge up.

Excellent video. I love watching your videos and other people's videos, who do the same type of fishing I do. Stay safe out there and aware of the snakes. I was out fishing yesterday and made a video of a snake I encountered.
