  • Not sure what to do when on the Belt Squat, let Colin take you through a few exercises that you can do on our latest Hammer Strength Belt Squat!
    Front and rear weight rods allow for large weight loads and four belt anchor points provide varying resistance ratios. Wide, dual foot platforms include a separation gap to help prevent marring from the belt and chain. The Belt Squat also features band pegs (with a nearly 1:1 load effect when used), long handles to accommodate users of all sizes, and a storage hanger for the belt and hook for added convenience.
    Alternative exercises you can do are:
    - Single Arm Rows
    - Deficit Deadlift
    - Rope Pull-Through
    - Calf Raises

    I say this for pretty much every LF and HS machine there is ,
    but I'll say it again : I need this thing in my life ASAP !

    Easy to assemble th-cam.com/users/postUgkxUHHotQRjIQnfuxEeVotlkHVYWH0DXZoS just follow pictures- use the little screwdriver for the bottom pieces. For pedals, screw in with hands & then use small wrench to tighten the bolt so it stays put.Range of motion is a little awkward unless you’re sitting directly above the machine, like being on a regular bike. Even at awkward angle (sitting on sofa) it works different muscle groups, pedaling is harder and you can feel the burn.Also try sitting above it on a high chair, put hands behind the chair & feel the workout in stomach core.Great machine for small spaces. Don’t pedal like it’s a real bike - use a little more leg muscle and keep the foot pressure low on pedal, it should last that way (hopefully!). If machine is pushing away on the ground, that is a sign to use more leg muscle (burn) than foot pressure.Not always sure what the screen is showing, but it’s helpful to see some stats like number of pedals and time spent pedaling. Got one for my mom & she also likes it.

    Looks great and trying to decide between belt squat versus v squat plate loaded machine. I do like the option to do other exercises on this one machine.

    I'd be so annoyed if i saw anyone doing any of the non-squat exercises on this if i wanted to belt squat

      Exactly! Most gyms have plenty of equipment for upper body or viable variations!

    The donkey calf raises were interesting, yet they looked pretty dangerous with the feet position.

      I've been doing them, you don't need too much weight; I do miss my old donkey calf machine as it was much closer to ground if you were slip. Be careful enjoy.

    how much weight are you actually squatting when you take the machine leverages into consideration? for example 3 plates each side, 6 plates total, 6 x 20kg = 120kg, 120kg + 30.8kg (empty machine) = 150.8kg total weight on the machine. How much weight am I actually squatting because because squatting 150.8kg here does not equate to squatting 150.8kg on the barbell

      Preform a knee dominant squat.

      @@vulturesiii6450 you can wear lifting shoes or you can position yourself close to handle part that would make you stay more upright thus lean backwards a hair less than positioning yourself really far backwards on the platform - hope it helps

    Would you recommend the belt squat exercise for rugby?

      Yes. With little to no spinal compression it will allow you to train higher volumes in season. It's worked for me in American Football.
