100% correct Here in Canada it’s to cold for EVs and Canada has a lot more rural highways it’s not as populated as the USA. In Canada electric cars are common to make grocery runs and etc but everyone mainly buys gas Porsche and gas vehicles in general here. EV range does horrible in -30 C. Also the EV super chargers have issues at cold temperatures
I've seen multiple engineering analyses saying EVs don't much improve the environment. So why shove these uninteresting cars down our throats? No noise, I don't buy. Never.
@@omnicognatesnr5947 I don’t think the depreciation will be nearly as bad as with the Taycan. The Taycan just isn’t a very practical car, limiting its ability to attract buyers for used cars. The Macan is a super useful car with lots of cargo space while not being overly long. I certainly would buy a depreciated used Macan. I would not buy a used Taycan. I do agree that it is expensive though, especially since at the base price you get absolutely nothing that a modern car should have and everything costs extra.
I've searched on internet and found an article claiming that the end of Gas model macan's will be 2026, it's not unexpected but like i said i'm not sure if this news it's legit either.
I was hoping for a new (or at least newer) PCM but nope. Another price increase for an aging car with no updates. As usual take it or leave it with Porsche. 😂
I will keep my new 2025 Macan T forever if I have to lose my analog gauges. I left MB and did not buy a BMW since they have gone all digital and have no buttons / knobs / gauges.
Can you tell me, is it possible to lock your Macan and say, your wife leave her pocket book in the car with her key to the Macan? Is it safe or does it just act as if the key is in the car and thus anyone could get in and drive away and not actually have the key? I also like to go surfing and I will lock my car key in a secured lock box to my trailer hitch. Can I do that with a Macan or could my car get stolen that way too?
Agreed Anthony! Unfortunately several years ago the USA initiated a reduction in Copper Content in Brakes and the generation of PCCB on the macan has greater than 3% copper in the brakes. ☹️ See link for initiative www.epa.gov/npdes/copper-free-brake-initiative
@@Pcarwhisperer I didn’t know that. Thank you. I still think PCCB is amazing. I have them on my own Macan which is why I have no plans to sell it. I can’t imagine having a car without them.
I think internal combustion engine ("ICE") Macan vehicles will be available through the 2026 model year and maybe through 2027 as well. Electric vehicles ("EVs") devalue at a higher/faster rate (25-40% faster) than ICE vehicles. Personally, no one talks about how the unrefined lithium (and other metal compounds) are mined. These are very poisonous (and highly reactive) elements and an untold amount of water is used to refine the raw lithium into lithium salts suitable for EV batteries. No discussion as to how the refining process pollutes the environment. There are rumors of child labor involved in the mining process. If so, that's not discussed either. Then, what is done with the exhausted lithium salts once the batteries are performing at 40% (or less) of their original capacity? I especially adore how the rich and powerful talk about the reduced carbon footprint, environmentally "safe" EVs AND then pressure for legislation to switch to EVs, just before they get on board their private jets and produce more CO2 footprint than thousands of other folks driving about in ICEs. No discussion how folks living in rural zones might never have the proper infrastructure to recharge EV batteries. I think the real future is hydrogen. Like gasoline and diesel products, it could easily be made to be readily available and the real plus of hydrogen power: there is ZERO carbon footprint!
Forever....Dealers can't order and sell enough Macans. EVs apparently are not as popular regulators had hoped.
As if that ever stopped a regulator. They'll force us to switch eventually, regardless of customer demand.

It’s very unfortunate that Porsche discontinued the Mamba Green color several years ago. That’s a beautiful color.
Right there with you Mamba Green was an awesome color!

Well Audi has released the b10 SQ5 so that tells me the ICE Macan will likely continue as a new design probably as 2026 model. EVs are cooling...
Hmmmm....I can't seem to configure an ICE Macan anymore on the Porsche website.......
If you’re in Europe it’s being discontinued.
@@dieterrosch4154as it should be. The new Macan 4 EV is amazing.

just ordered a Macan in australia, they said they are switching to EV. last change to get gas macan.
I think it depends on how the EV model does. Thendact its a tiny bit longer is a plus but interested to see how translates to interior space.
So basically no changes. Thanks for nothing. I’ve owned 2 of em and was hoping for ambient lights or some other cool features. Nope. Nada zilcho

Right here with you was hoping for PCM 6.0. I believe it will have PCM 5.0 until the ICE car is no longer offered.

I think that PCCB should be an option on all models including the EV versions. Why not if the customer is willing to pay for it.

Thank God for gas power Macan. No interest in EV, not good for my long road trips.
What about interior?
The Interior is unchanged for the ICE Macan!

Maybe we will get better buys on gas Porsches if the EV’s get buyers.
🤔
Gone in Australia
🥺
They can shove the EV junk where the sun don't shine.....
