I've watched several "how to" VCR/DVD videos, but this one is the best that I've seen! I especially like the way you used your multi-meter to open the disk tray! I would like to replace the belts on mine, VCR and DVD-CD deck, would you mind telling me where I can purchase them? Also, wondering if it is possible to purchase a replacement optical pickup (laser) for the DVD deck? Mine, after cleaning, still has trouble reading the disk, and will stop from time to time while playing. Thank you!
Hello. 🙂 Thank you. I use a lab power supply. Try searching for square rubber drive belts on ebay. It should still be possible to find a laser for it. Google is your friend. 🙂
hey, I have one of these units, it's stuck on HELLO when powered on. I suspect DVD assembly causing that, do you know if it will boot properly if DVD is disconnected?

I have the same one, I have a problem with the DVD, it makes a very loud noise, and it doesn't read the DVD, what could it be?
Completely impossible for me to give a correct diagnosis without having the player in front of me. It could be anything, based on your description.
