I have a custom firmware-hacked Wii U, and have Mario Kart Arcade GP DX game running thru Nintendont. So I'm guessing I actually COULD use it with my G29, if I correctly map the G29 to the expected inputs for Nintendont, using HID to VPAD. That would be unbelievably cool.
@@Griffomedia it is a quite complicated endeavor. First, you have to hack your Wii U. wiiu.hacks.guide/ Then, you have to install Nintendont (which runs Gamecube games on the Wii U, from the Wii mode on the Wii U). Then, you should install HID to VPAD into the hacked Wii U. This is an application that remaps USB connected joypads and the like, so they appear as wireless controller to the Wii U. Mind you, I haven't used that yet. But I know that it is a thing. And, as you can use the Classic Controller Pro on Nintendont (the Gamecube runner on the Wii U) to play Gamecube-based games (like the Mario Kart GP arcade games), you SHOULD be able to remap the G29 to appear as a wireless controller, and thus be able to use it for Mario Kart Wii etc. Yes, seems kinda far-fetched, but it's supposed to work.
