This part of the manga always makes me watery eyed but the animes adaptation has me sobbing, it's such a good redemption for dimple as he finally realized that he already had what he always wanted but it was too late and in their final moments together he got to control mob like he always wanted but it was to protect him till the very end. Dimple was and is a true friend.

It’s crazy to see how strong Dimple became from absorbing all that power. He was able to take on that Broccoli all by himself unlike before, he wouldn’t have stood a chance at all. Fortunately, he used that power to protect and sacrifice himself for his friend. This ep had me in tears. I cried reading it in the manga and just cried even more seeing it animated.
I've got competition. Bojji and Kage from Ousama Ranking. Episode 2 of that killed me with the feels when it showed how loyal ma boi Kage felt towards Bojji.
When I heard mob psycho was getting another season, I wasn't so sure. S2 had ended on such a stellar end I didn't know if there was any reason to continue but this episode right here was absolutely insane

Despite already knowing what was coming because I read the manga, this still hit hard for me; harder even. The amount of love and care that went into animating this entire series is insane (unlike a certain season 2 of the manga by the same author). Also, it's obvious that you gotta have an incredibly high IQ to understand Teru's taste in fashion.

You know what’s crazy. One of the first times we’ve genuinely seen Mob let go of his emotions, crying over Dimple’s sacrifice, without exploding to 100%. We’ve seen small parts here and there, but this was the first full blown.
The fight between Mob and Dimple is one of the most human fight between friends I have ever seen portrayed in media. Especially in anime and Shonen in particular often times you see a disagreement between friends get resolved with them beating each other up and then getting over it. And with guys who're friends fights happen, whether physical or verbal. But the disagreement doesn't just end once the fighting is over. We sit down, we talk, we make fun of each other, and most importantly we're brutally honest. And in a short concise way the fight between Mob and Dimple really portrayed that. It starts with a disagreement that builds up into a fight, which eventually they realize they were wrong and while they both hold their ground for a bit they eventually calm down, talk for a bit, make fun of one another, and then are just honest about how they feel and accept the other. I've had fights like these with my friends before and they're the best people I've ever known. Some of them I've known for almost a decade now and I'm only 22. When you find a friend like that who you can have an honest fight with and they don't just take the path of least resistance and leave make sure to cherish that person. It's safe to bet on them being about for many years to come and while they may not be perfect and hell they might not come to your help every time but they'll always be there for you. And when they can help they will.
Ive noticed that most of the comments are talking about the emotional beats of the episode rather than the animation when this episode has one of the most amazing sequences I’ve ever seen. Demonstrates the quality of the writing.

I am pretty sure the animators did a visual homage to the ending credits of Laputa: Castle in the Sky with the broccoli floating up and away. I also wonder if the Psycho Helmets vibrating in the tree (when they were creating a lightning strike) was a visual homage to the kodama shaking in the trees in the film Princess Mononoke? And yeah broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, collard greens, and kohlrabi, and several other vegetables are all domesticated from the same plant species, Brassica oleracea, but selected for different parts of the plants.
