It wasn't made clear like it was in the manga but Mob is not at 100% right now. He is at ???%. It has only been shown in action twice. Once back in season 1 when he stripped Teru and destroyed his school and secondly against Mogami's world of demons. To show how strong ???% is, even at 100% courage Mob couldn't defeat all the evil spirits that Mogami had collected. Yet when he went ???% he destroyed not only all the spirits but Mogami's whole inner world in an instant.
If it wasn't clear by the end of the episode, Mob isn't stuck in a 100% explosion form, he's stuck in his ??? form, which has only appeared 2-3 times prior in the series; 1st a flashback to when Ritsu and Mob were kids and is one of the reasons why Mob starts the series emotionally repressed, the first direct appearance was Mob's first fight with Hanazawa in season 1, and the most recent appearance was in season 2 during the Mogami fight. The ??? form is basically the only unresolved aspect of Mob left, hence why it's the focus of this final arc.
Can somebody explain to me why he turned into ???? This time around…I mean he just talked about dealing with his emotions better and I would get it if he was rejected and it happened but like why did it happen.

Teruki just stole this entire episode. His determination to stop Mob,who helped him overcome his egocentric self and pay him back by protecting everyone just like Mob would do in a different context is just spectacular character presentation and development. Props to BONES for putting so much emotion and passion in this episode. 100/10.
I loved how many parallels there were to their first meeting. The setting, the choking, the more obvious references. And the "I guess I win this time!" line makes me so emotional, given that even when he's driven into a corner in a such desperate situation, Teru does pull of something that Mob couldn't back then - even with Mob's explicit permission (albeit only visible to us, but Teru clearly understood the sentiment) he refuses to "go all out" with his powers and actually aim to harm Mob instead of trying to subdue him, switches strategies to make the best out of the situation, save all those people and save Mob from hurting and potentially killing them. Ofc he probably realized on some level that he likely couldn't harm ???% even if he did try, but given how high-stakes and high-paced the situation was, he handled it incredibly well imo.
The moment when Teru said Mob has just to go home, that's the point the unknown percentage take Teru personally. The one and only drive the Unknown percentage was to meet Tsubomi no matter who stops him. So yeah he has to make sure Teru is out of the board. He even mocks Teru by exploding near citizens to show he doesn't care.
I love how this legit is like a closing season of all stories in the show 1)Dimple wanted to be God 2)The photographer girl wanted to see Mob as leader of Psycho Helmet Religion 3)The girl from club wanted to meet the aliens 4)Teru got his moment as he claims to be Mobs rival 5)Mobs one goal to ask Tsubomi out is still on going on 6)Bringing back all villains as now they are normal citizens. Mad respect to Teru for saving Mob like that. Mob had a lot of trauma from just accidentally hurting his brother, i don't think he could've mentally recovered from killing so many people.

From season 1 this is what Mob has been MOST scared of. HIMSELF. He's warned everyone so many times about how terrified he's been about losing control, it's happened.
I love the contrast in this episode. When we first met Teru, he was a pompous A-Hole and as the fight went on, Mob striped him of his status and ego. Whereas in now, we've seen him genuinely grow and change for good, and it's just sad seeing him be brought back down to that level of humiliation. Except this time, he doesn't care. All that matters to him was saving Mob and everyone else. A true mark of a hero. He's never looked so cool being naked and bald.
Man, Teru came in clutch, showing everything he learned from Mob. Didn't let him kill a single person, even at the cost of his own body. Mob would be proud.
Man, so far, this season mirrored back everything mob did in past seasons. Dimple, the telepathy club, now teru, next the guy from claw. We're literally redoing and redeeming everything , but this time everyone is trying to help mob. Its such a .. idk how to put it, such a satisfying and beautiful reversing of positions. Studio Bones really emphasized on Mobs' subtle movements that really just make him feel inhuman. Like the way he leans over to stare at Teruki when he's on the floor, or how he sways his head seperate from his body. It really gets the point across that what we are looking at isn't Mob at all. Bones did absolutely fantastic!!!

While I don't get why most don't get it on why he didn't use his powers to save the kid like the cat, he could visibly see the cat and had enough time to react to save it with his powers. But never would have expected another car right away to do that immediately after. A few seconds of going to pick up his bag, he isn't able to see it coming fast enough so when it caught his eye, it's pretty much the whole "didn't have time to think and his body just moved on his own." So he didn't even have time to think to use his powers to protect himself either.

Based on the form we are seeing, it seems that mob turned in the tripple question mark form...also as we seen, after the incident, he is blocked in his own subconscious not able to regain control at the moment. This season was dark and filled with sorrowful emotions, I really love it when anime take this approach. It can't be always sunshine and rainbows, sometimes the rain is heavier than it should.
The boss of claw (the guy in the plane) stored energy for 10 years, which ended up exploding in the brocoli... so.... yeah he is pretty much empty in comparation with the last time they fought

But he's too powerfull and its uncomfortable that it doesnt look like pushing anymore-- And in ???% perspective, all he do is just normal stuff-- he just walking out to meet Tsubomi and get rid anything that on his way. But he's Over powerfull that he destroy the city by simply walking.... He only start getting irritated and taking action after Teru tell him to go home and try to destroy his precious bouguet--

Instead of screaming in the background In the webcomic they actually showed that mob intentionally harmed those people, tons of them floating unconscious and bleeding and made the surrounding buildings with people in it explode
Eh, chapter 100 of the manga doesn’t really show Mob specifically targeting the citizenry in the corresponding scene, it’s just more him releasing blasts of psychic energy without care. The manga shows the people being tossed/flown around, but none of them are gratuitously bleeding. They are more drawn with particle effects being blown off them, which could be interpreted as spittles of blood/bodily fluids being knocked off/out of the people, but could also just as easily be dust and debris too.

Yeah but using it without a care with people around you and ??? Knows it is still intentional harm. Stopping the car makes more sense because otherwise, it could have swerved into a building, a pole, or another vehicle, injuring the driver or bystanders for trying and avoid the cat

Which means Mob is unconscious, which also means that, that right there isn't actually Mob, but a Manifestation of Mob's Psychic Powers that was created by the constant bottling and repressing of his Emotions and Psychic Powers. Essentially when a person holds things inside like Negative Emotions, eventually it all explodes, that's basically the case there for Mob. Also we gotta appreciate how far Teru has come, during this Episode, I legit got a flashback to the first time Teru and Mob meet. Teru is a real one.

Teruki was a champ this episode managing to tank most of Mob’s attacks and saving lots of citizens while on the brink of death.
Im also sure mob was probably using like 10% of his power, his conscience was probably holding back

Teru is my favorite character.. From being an annoying enemy to the best-est friend out there... His character development is insane...

My heart was pounding out of my Chest this Episode and if ya'll haven't realize yet, Mob isn't in 100%, he's in ???. Which means Mob is unconscious, which also means that, that right there isn't actually Mob, but a Manifestation of Mob's Psychic Powers that was created by the constant bottling and repressing of his Emotions and Psychic Powers. Essentially when a person holds things inside like Negative Emotions, eventually it all explodes, that's basically the case there for Mob. Also we gotta appreciate how far Teru has come, during this Episode, I legit got a flashback to the first time Teru and Mob meet. Teru is a real one.
