Nick is obviously the truth. I watched a couple documentaries about him. He is extremely motivated & hard working. Definitely someone to watch for in upcoming international competition, & the next Olympics.
@@daytonasayswhat9333 Yeah, it kinda depends on the sport. 28-32 is your physical prime. In MMA for instance, 26-28 is on the younger side. with 30-33 being prime years. 25 is both young and old at the same time, not sure how it is in wrestling tho

@@normanhuntley5747 25 is not typically a year out of college. Maybe now with this infinite series of red shirts, gray shirts, Olympic shirts, and Covid years. I graduated college, as a college wrestler, at 21. Did you watch the World Cup last week? In the finals against USA, Iran had two 17 year olds competing (57kg and 125kg). How can you say 25 is young when they’re 17 year olds on world level senior teams?
I love Iowa wrestling but when I went to this tournament this is when I fell in love with Nicks wrestling style and demeanor. Such a fun wrestler to watch.
@@googlegmail9888 you think so? After he caught covid and missed out on the Olympic trials in early 2021 I would think he has unfinished business in the regard. He was very upset and based on what know about him (although he most definitely is full of surprises) I would think he's most definitely gonna try to become an Olympian. It's probably one of his ultimate goals in all reality. But anything is possible with him... whatever path he chooses, I have no doubt that he'll succeed in accomplishing whatever he sets out to do.
Good to see the NJ legend on the mat. Only gave up one takedown in high school. Dominance!!!! I’m still hoping he goes to the UFC like what was rumored, but he might still wanna keep his Olympic dream alive. 🤷♂️
Interview with his coach said one as a freshman at the Beast of the East. Where’d you get that from? I’m not saying you’re wrong…I’m just curious. Even 6 takedowns with no losses is pretty crazy dominance.
I guess this erases links. There’s an article right before his senior year in states that says only once, but maybe he got taken down 5 times in the tournament. 🤷♂️
I’ve only wrestled the past couple of years and I was able to pick up that you can’t stop until the whistle blows and if you do you’re likely giving up points .
I'm hoping he still has the passion to represent US in Olympics!Definitely would be a tough out!Stinks he had a positive covaid test to keep him out of Olympic trials.Pretty straight up guy,IMO
Suriano's great but those post-whistle takedowns are dirty especially if he continues to do them. Hammering the legs takes a toll even if you're not scoring off it.
I was there and the match ended like all his matches, with animosity. And not because opponents were unhappy to lose but by his antics. I am not a fan.
Strong performance by Suriano. He looked good for the most part. He's a grinder. The pace of the match was perfect for his style. He's a tornado.
Nick is a big strong guy at 25......always enjoyed watching him....win or lose, he brings it.
he doesn't lose often lol
Aroused?

Nick that was great wrestling against a veteran. Glad to see you wrestling

Nick came to play. Looking very strong. His hand fighting and leg defense is fantastic.
So glad he is back
His wrestling skills are insane !
Glad that Nick is wrestling in worlds. I know he will win!
so much personality in Nick's style
Suriano looks like a very young man competing against a very seasoned veteran but bonus to him, it didn't let it psyche him out. Good go Nick!
He’s not very young. 25. There are people who win Olympic gold medals at 18.

Nick broke his spirit.
He doesn’t look near as big as he did when he wrestled 133 lbs in 2019 I know it’s 8 lbs more but still crazy how much of a difference it makes
I totally see what you’re getting at, significantly beefier at 133 but only 8lb difference 😮
@@russelleinberg8146 yup looked lot bigger & stronger at 133 lbs
8lbs of muscle is a lot of mass
100% correct. Not nearly as muscular but than can be attributed to the stricter drug testing.

I’ve wrestled since 1973 I agree
Wonder what happened to the top of his head? Strange injury!

Aye let’s go ! I’m so glad Suriano is still wrestling
I been saying for years… Nick should get into the octagon. His intensity is fun to watch. I can picture him dropping elbows on dudes faces
Love those heavy hands!
Can you imagine someday the US World Cup or Olympic training facility will have Lee, Suriano, RBY, Fix and DeSanto in the same training group?
Suriano fights harder than most wrestlers I've ever seen. Win or lose, this dude wants every match no doubt
Nick is a beast. He's looking strong right now.
9:26 eye poke
What is the point of the super zoom out. We don't need to see the whole arena. Focus on the wrestlers.

Brutal match, great job to both.
I wonder where the blood came from. Nice sportsmanship show after the match. This is rare but very positive show of mutual respect after match.
Definitely a strange injury on top of his head. Dont think the other wrestler will try the time out again.
Nick is serious business!!!
That hand fighting unsportsmanlike call was bogus.
Controversial
NICK IS JUST TOO MUCH FOR THIS MAN !!!
Love Suriano. Guy that made me give a sht about watching college wrestling. Tough Kid for sure.
I love when ref's don't F around and literally force both opponents into action or else pay the stalling consequences.
Love suriano!
It took me like 30mins to watch this match. I wanted to analyze every section
What a great story.
I love nick
Suriano/Fix matches are the best if you've got insomnia and can't sleep. On the other hand, if you want to stay awake, watch Zain/Yianni matches.
America fuck yea team America world police

Did that other guy think it was a basketball game? Lol u just can’t expect the referee to blow the whistle. Great job by neck.

When’s desanto coming back
Tired losing and looking for the ref to get bailed out lol
Urijah Faber's looking good these days.

Suriano Lee Fix Vito and others at the us open for the right to face Gilman. Should be awesome
Is it not standard, and required, that the trainer wears gloves when compressing or examining a bleeding wound?
