Hey, I'm a Korean who visited the dojo in September, and I did randori with you. I'm not sure you remember me haha. I have watched this channel for long time, and I didn't notice that this channel is yours lol. Thanks for making great judo videos. See you again in dojo!

Great video. When I finished college I went to work and compete in Japan. Culturally, Japan was a bit of a sad place for me because it was hard to connect beyond the social masks. When I finally got onto a team and had a mentor, I got to peer behind the masks and it made my time there so much better.

Love the video! I’ve been watching for years and always loved it when you include your Judo! I’d be interested in a video less judo related explaining the process of moving out to Japan - challenges with culture/ work etc. a little selfish to ask considering it’s a judo channel but I’d definitely watch it as someone who’s interested in moving to Japan at some point 😄

I remember his stories about being surrounded by wolves when camping, practicing with nunchuks by hammering in nails, etc. Once we had a boozy university party and he dropped off a bottle of romanian moonshine (made in his grandfathers garage I believe!). His only words were "Have it with food".
