- This is a recital of Andrew Buhr, disciple of Jeff Lewis, in a recital of double bass playing the rare Indian art form of Dhrupad. Andrew here is performing Raag Jaijaivanti-Alap & Jor, for his portion of this Student Recital.
We listened to your entire recital and are amazed! Bravo to you!

great!
What an inspiration. Love how you've cultivated the spirit of Dhrupad as your own. I get this as your sound. More please!
Exquisite. Would love to see a rendition of Jog.
Welcome , sir je .

Lovely.
I enjoyed it, the instrument is obviously not unsuited to Dhrupad, but for some reason the sound is too `clean`. There is not the variety of frequencies you would get with say a gourd resonator or sympathetic strings. Sympathetic strings may help? I dont know. Would be quite an undertaking. Other than that I think the double bass may actually do a better job with Khyal.
