As a Shiro Sagisu fan, is so,so,SO satisfying to see how the karekano OST didn't fade into the obscurity that surrounded the adaptation after the creative conflict between the anime director and the mangaka. The music became something even more complex and beautiful that can reach people more than two decades later... so wholesome.

There has never been proof that the mangaka had conflict with the anime adaptation of her work. It's mostly a myth. The real reason the anime ended was because it simply caught up to the manga and there was no chance to realistically continue it

@@galenpemberton4382 it's a "resurgence" of the series, in every possible instance of the word, in life. Hence the name for the "rebuild" saga. You can fall into hell and depression, life will beat you up, yet you can only continue if you want to live and build yourself back up. Hideaki Anno and Shinji Ikari are now done with eva, and their life is ok, we should be happy for them :)

Karma plays as Kensuke drives Shinji back to the village after he meets Ryoji Kaji (Misato and Kaji's son, not the adult one) and says how Misato is hurting as much as Shinji is.
