The music became something even more complex and beautiful that can reach people more than two decades later... so wholesome.

There has never been proof that the mangaka had conflict with the anime adaptation of her work. It's mostly a myth. The real reason the anime ended was because it simply caught up to the manga and there was no chance to realistically continue it
Actually is the last one directed by Hideaki Anno. But in a recent interview He said that he is completely open to other people to create new histories around EVA. He wants EVA to become like Gundam, a universe of histories usually directed by new talents.

It was really heartbreaking but I couldnt help laughing at it. First thing he does when seeing asuka is vomitting all over the floor. Its moments and misunderstandings like this that cause all the emotional and social trauma for these characters and I absolutely love it

It's two separate tracks, but they form this kind of "suite", like with Kindred Spirits and Theme Q from the previous movie (3.0). And yes, the Shin Godzilla vibes are strong in this one, which I love
