I know my opinion doesn’t matter and it shouldn’t matter because you’re doing what you want to do, but as someone who is very interested in the table top and has no idea what I’m doing. I really like your intro to table top videos because it’s not just about the meta it’s about having fun and I like to have fun. I don’t care about winning. I was in the military, and I have won enough in my life. I want to play a role, play a narrative for someone else, or even challenge someone else and a position or battle using my high functioning tactical brain. I love these videos
I think a saving grace for the decimator would be for it to have the resurrection ability it currently has in 10th ed of 40k. it would atleast give it some more staying power and make for some fun moments of chaos
The Kytan is basically a 40 point upgrade to a Knight Castigator with some small downgrades to shooting (-1BS, no twin-linked), a fairly straight upgrade to the warblade (though the Deflagrate on a weapon with those stats is horrifying) and a slightly worse invulnerable save on the front but the save works in close combat and it gets a LOT of upside beyond that. If you made that package a 40 point household rank I'd take it nearly every time. 40 points for no twin-linked, -1BS, a wiggly sidey-uppy-grade on the sword and slightly worse front invulnerable save but +2WS, Rampage, +1 HP, a more versatile invulnerable save, Hammer of Wrath 4 and fear 1 I'd take it in a heartbeat.
I really wish the Decimator was in the 225 point range, or dropped the redundant Heavy Keyword, it would help it so much with viability. The ranged weapons are meh, probably worth being free instead of costing, but not too awful since it’s really meant to be a melee character hunter.
All I've experienced with daemon engines is they're either melee-only distraction carnifexes that only get useful once you close the gap and getting a squad stuck in melee, or they're a massively points heavy ranged/melee mixed unit that you feel the loss of when they get focus-fired. Too much of a mixed bag to care.
Nice run through. just to check, my interpretation of the Corrupted Engine rule is that you wouldn’t need to take a Legion Praevian to take the Lord of War units in a Lord of War detachment, since you can take any LoW in that detachment. Am I incorrect?
These units just dont fit the setting. Gw just trying to sell minis and i wouldnt field one unlesd.playing a narrative campaign to represent the engine found on mars during the opening civil war
Idk why they are in this game they don’t fit the setting at all and they don’t make any sense narratively whatsoever, especially the lord of skulls shit idk who thought of that lol. Also how come literally every other large contemptor size model can be killed by the contemptor

Have some local players with the same sentiment as you toward narrative and fluff. Absolute heart of the community.

I know, I sound like a broken record by now, but the intro is still very nice.
Atlantian Sword - From Conan The Barbarian - By Basil Poledouris.
It is one of the greatest movie soundtracks ever made.

As I said, the best knight in HH 2.0.

Have you had a look at Trench Crusade at all?

They fit for mid to late Heresy games
Uh they absolutely do fit the mid to late heresy. Especially for WB and dark mechanicum
@@NeloBladeOfRanni they also fix a XanaII army as they had all kinds of weird tech there and there well everything was besital/ possessed/ sketchy
Maybe not the standard but for fluffy late heresy games i think its perfect
My dark mechanicum and word bearers would disagree, and as the last two comments from mid to late heresy

Welcome to HH 2.0 curtsay of mainline GW studio.
They do make sense mid-late heresy would I prefer the minis to be native to 30k and not sloppy seconds yeah but stop being a bender
Because GW do not know what the appeal of 30k was in 1.0.
really want to use a knight lancer but contemptors are better lmao
