I copied one of her dresses for my graduation from junior high. And I still love oversize sunglasses and trench coats. She was also a great influence culturally.

But, being teens, we got impatient & walked 2 blocks up the street! There we waited & saw the most handsome young President JFK & the most beautiful First Lady, Jackie, smiling & waving! She had the ability to connect as if with each person. Even now I can see them in my mind's eye as if it were yesterday! While sad, I'm grateful to have been there! I am not kidding, today I wore white jeans with navy stripe down the sides and a short sleeve navy sweater. The jeans were part of a winter collection I just bought and wanted to wear. But I think I like your last option best with the trench and horse scarf.

Jackie was my style icon when I was 12 😄 I can still remember my attempts to copy her Greece-look (the white pants, short-sleeved black top, Capri sandals by Jack Rogers) and her New York-look ( black turtleneck, beige tailored pants worn over boots). In the 70's she always had her cream and tan Gucci bag. I think they only made it for her, although they have a Jackie bag but not in those colors. Thanks very much for the video. ❤

Several years ago I purchased 3 items - including 2 sets of pearls- from the jewelry selection inspired by her personal collection that her family released for sale . The second outfit was probably closest to something for me to try but to personalize it I would wear lower heels and navy scarf , Despite having innumerable black turtlenecks I never pair them with black pants - I always think it will look too harsh on me for some reason . But using my taupe or army green trench will soften the look as you have shown Marie-Anne . Thank you for the inspiration ! I think we all get stuck wearing the same pairings and need to make more use of what we have instead of buying more .

I smiled at the white trousers and black top as that is my everyday ‘go to’ since giving up blue denim jeans. All 3 were very Jackie O! Thank you for deconstructing the outfits into pieces that could be copied (in our own style). There was a period just before princess Diana died that she was quite stylish in a more sophisticated style that I liked. We are close in age and had children around the same time. I would love for you to do a video on cashmere classics, when Autumn rolls around again. I was so disappointed when I bought several cashmere sweaters at Macy’s last year. They all shrank a full size and pilled like crazy, with my most careful cold water hand-washing. Since then, I learned about cashmere grading, and will now only buy Grade A cashmere. I didn’t know, so maybe other women also don’t know, about this. Thanks for considering my suggestion, dear Marie-Anne. I’m gradually upgrading the quality of my wardrobe, and hate to make expensive goofs like this🙂

I have a short sleeve navy sweater that belonged to my father! I have a photo of him wearing it in the early 1950’s with a pair of chinos and loafers. The sweater is still in beautiful condition, without any pilling or fading (an example of how a high quality piece can last for many years) and I wear it now with white jeans and brown leather loafers. A look that never goes out of style! 😎

I have always loved and worn Jackie’s dark oversized sun glasses. I credit those glasses for a minimum of sun damage and lines around my eyes. To be sure, the lines eventually did show up, but not until I was in my early 70’s…. This is a wonderful video, thank you…

There was a period just before princess Diana died that she was quite stylish in a more sophisticated style that I liked. We are close in age and had children around the same time. I was so grateful for her style influence on maternity clothes!
Always excited to see another Marie-Anne Lecoerur video posted!! I enjoy every one and loved this one too. Personally, I am drawn to the all black outfits!! I have bought quite a few scarves and wear them to ease the harshness of the all black. I often get compliments and I find that when wearing black people often say I look slim! Which is great!!! I have been working to lose weight for ages. So black is my friend! 😉. As are you Marie-Anne for educating me about style. I have spent most of my life studying at University (12yrs), working, or raising kids and I feel like my style I.Q. was sadly lacking!!! I never had time to think about clothes or how to wear them!!! I am very grateful to you Marie-Anne. Thank you. 😘

I loved the black slacks and turtleneck…I were it all the time..never knew it was hers also…my mom would dress like her and she loved her style…I guess I inherited it and never knew it until now…thanks for the video it made me remember how my late mom dress and I still have some of her pieces..❤

I would love for you to do a video on cashmere classics, when Autumn rolls around again. I was so disappointed when I bought several cashmere sweaters at Macy’s last year. They all shrank a full size and pilled like crazy, with my most careful cold water hand-washing. Since then, I learned about cashmere grading, and will now only buy Grade A cashmere. I didn’t know, so maybe other women also don’t know, about this. Thanks for considering my suggestion, dear Marie-Anne. I’m gradually upgrading the quality of my wardrobe, and hate to make expensive goofs like this🙂

I have a short sleeve navy sweater that belonged to my father! I have a photo of him wearing it in the early 1950’s with a pair of chinos and loafers. The sweater is still in beautiful condition, without any pilling or fading (an example of how a high quality piece can last for many years) and I wear it now with white jeans and brown leather loafers. A look that never goes out of style! 😎
