That's really cool! And yes same, Oikawa is my favorite character so far in the anime and he truly helped shape Tobio and thus plays a keyrole in the plot.
Fun fact you may already know but you and Oikawa have the same birthday as Alexander the Great. Think it has something to do with Oikawa being the great King.
I love oikawa. his words mean so much for me, as a person who has been studying and preparing herself to be better than the ones out there in my field of work, he inspires me so much i can relate to him when I see others more talented and I feel helpless 😔💖
@@PlanScare based on what? @@jacobian9826 I’m not saying he’s a bad player. He actually my favourite in the series. But there’s something that even Oikawa himself sees this. And trust me you will notice when someone has that thing everyone else doesn’t have
@@PlanScare Oikawa doesnt see that anymore, he used to and said how hes average then Jose Blanco told him not to limit his potential and he agreed, he said he hasn't reached his top yet, maybe it'd be when hes 30, but not now and he shouldn't give up his fight. hes the starting setter on a country that is the 4the strongest country in the world, the competition was insane and he surpassed it
@@jacobian9826Your prime isn’t until your around your mid twenties until early thirty’s. So let’s say Oikawa is talented. Then kageyama is a super talent. If we go by your definition he is a talent. But he actually accepts that he will never surpass Kageyama and that Kageyama is in his own league of talent. He’s talented but not a super talent
The talent of hard work could be better than a specific talent because it applies to everything you do at life you can ensure you’ll be really good at it because of your work ethic
It depends, work ethic Is a good to have. But sometimes talent Is that overwhelming you can't do anything. Just think about Shaquille O'Neal, he never trained with intensity and still was the best player of the NBA for a decent Number of years. Surely he Is not the greatest of all time. But how many talented(because of you play in Europe you still are talented even if not a genius) hardworkers never even joined NBA? And how many 5'10" men who trained every day of their Life from when they were kids never turned pro? Talent Is a fact. There are specific Phisical attributes that you can't change, you can work on your tecnique, instinct intelligence, but even in this fields there are geniuses that not working as much as you in this attributes still improve faster. Everyone Who played sports knows that there are people that spending the Same amount time in training as you can achive double or sometimes even more results, getting Better faster and leaving you in the dust. And here Is why Oikawa Is special, cause he knows, he knows that these people were different from the Moment they were Born and that they Will Just get Better more and faster than him, no matter how hard he works, but he still goes on, he still plays the sport he loves and tries to reach his real limit, developing his body, his tecnique and his mind as much as he can, that's because volleyball Is a team sport, he do not Need to be the best in the game, he accepted that even if he can't be the best or One of the best he can be good enough to reach the glory with hIs teammates, he trains to be the best setter possible. Hard work does not Always beat talent, sometimes It does not even equal talent. Cit. So turning on what you wrote, work ethic Is good because can influence all your Life, but Always we want to be good in few things, and being inferior to other more talented people Is Just frustrating.
I would say that hard work beats talent when talent fails to work at all. It is so frustrating when you are beaten by someone who doesn't train as hard as you or who hasn't been playing for that long. It makes you think, "why am I playing?". But, unlike Oikawa, I quitted.
@Karen luvs Jesus The thing that i don’t get is that kageyama beats up hinata on a daily basis. And was rude to his previous teammates. Just proved that they are flawed and that’s ok
Just like Hoshiumi helped Hinata to shape , so did Oikawa ; I'm truly touched by both the players through there hardwork and levels of dedication, " Talent is what Blooms , Instinct is something to Polish " really hit hard on me , Die Hard Fan of Oikawa Tooru
U must also rember that ushijima and kageyama have a person equal (kageyama) and or a team that save their energy so they can preform but oikawa still hasnt played with with his and he still has yet to bloom his talent (Not hate just observation)
Talent means its already in you. You know people born with personalities and traits. Like example those kids who naturally just play with shapes and interested in colours, theyll be talented in drawing etc bc thats their tallents. It comes a whole package within you. Talent is something that you feel like you know what it has to be done even if you never trained abt it. You maybe will mistaken this with instinct, but its more like, ur feelings? Ur sense? But instinct is something that, you can feel its up. You know whats gonna happen, bc thats instinct. Its like your 6th sense telling you things that might or may happen. How it able to do it? Past experiences maybe, or some training. Like how you play mario bros for the 10th time you already know theres gonna be a damn turtle there so u dodge it. Talent is what makes u bloom but instinct is what you polish.
how people can dislike Oikawa is beyond me... He could've taken the easy route to nationals by going to Shiratorizawa but he defended his pride and tried his hardest to carry Aoba Johsai there himself by practising more than anyone. Kageyama, Ushijima and Nishinoya are definitely the most talented players in the prefecture but I couldn't see any of them being able to single-handedly take an average Seijoh team to the top 4 teams in Miyagi. Oikawa is in no way untalented but what puts him in the top 5 players nationally is his passion to beat players that are more talented than him.
I noticed you used the manga to show the thank you for the past 3 years scene and not the part of the movie where they show that scene. Made me think maybe you havent seen it? 👀 so here's the clip on TH-cam just in case, great video btw 👍th-cam.com/video/Lao54_hFaA0/w-d-xo.html
Kageyama may be talented but he’s put so much time into practicing volleyball. The series portrays him as this gifted genius but I believe that kageyama has played volleyball longer than oikawa, so naturally he would seem like he’s more talented. Oikawa may be two years older but he hasn’t practiced volleyball as long or as much as kageyama, so he has no reason to have such an inferiority complex with kageyama. Everyone forgets that kageyama is so good because of how much time he’s put into volleyball, more so than his raw talent alone.
oikawa has never been my favorite character, and he likely never will be. his overconfidence and arrogance really just make me not like him sometimes. that being said, i also like his character. he plays a very important role in the story and also his determination and hunger for victory and getting better are very inspiring to me.
i don’t think oikawa is talentless, but what separates him from kageyama is that oikawa is able to bring out the best in his teammates, while kageyama is able to better them.
***Spoilers from Magna*** . . . . . . . Oikawa being on the Olympic team was my favorite of the endings because I was afraid that his ending might be bitter sweet, but no all that hard work paid off.
