    Pretty sure Oikawa isn't ordinary and average as you might say and furudate's vision for him wasn't the average just working their ass off (that could be hinata), but moreso the idea of insecurity and comparing yourselves with others, oikawa and his coach are the only 2 characters to ever call oikawa, good but not great. Meanwhile Shirabu put oikawa on the same pedestal as ushijima, both monsters that human beings cannot reach, it's all a matter of perspective and the end of the aoba johsai match in season 2 showed oikawa getting rid of that inferiority complex and realizing his peak is still yet to be reached so he shouldn't act like he's worse than either of those 2 geniuses he hated before

    • @GoldenRo
      @GoldenRo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I was more so saying from Oikawa's perspective. Your perspective is something right as well. Also yes, that whole showcase in season 2 was mesmerizing to see.

      @@GoldenRo true i guess, oikawa did think he was a normal guy up until the end where he believes that anyone can be a monster

    I feel like the idea that oikawa is just a hard worker undermines his talent. In sports talent is everything. Hard work has to be the right work. The reason you think some people are more talented despite you working harder is not because of that at all. It’s true they’re more talented but the environment they had fostered that talent. While you try to “work hard” you’re not doing what makes them talented. Kageyama as a kid enjoyed volleyball enjoyed being a setter he didn’t think about putting in so much work so he just played it because it was fun and he liked it that’s what gave him the edge over oikawa.
    Oikawa is talented and even if he believes kageyama and ushijima are better he’s not right to think that. Their teams are better at the end of the day that’s why he couldn’t win.
    Oikawa is talented he believes in himself but the only setback he had was thinking he’s not as talented as kageyama or ushijima.

    Yo
    @Golden Ro, what do You mean by "aptitude for mathematics"?

    • @GoldenRo
      @GoldenRo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      To have aptitude means to have "natural talent" - which I don't quite have in Maths. It's generally been a subject that I need to put more hours than most to get a grip of.

      @@GoldenRo I see, thank You very much for Your answer.
      Since You are kind enough to respond, I am going to push my luck with another question. How do You determine how much time do other people put into learning new skills? Do You have any specific methods You could recommend which I could try myself?

    • @GoldenRo
      @GoldenRo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I mean there is no way I can tell exactly how much effort other people put into learning something. I know a few people who have excellent memory & therefore make their study methods to cater to that; and they find success with it.
      But all in all, my honest motto is that it's better to focus on yourself & optimize your own success rather than trying to mitigate failure or stress as to how others have talent in something.
      Effort is never wasted.
