This video was too fast. You were confusing... the LacZ for alpha protein was inserted in the vector? Where does the omega protein come from? Was this video a bet to see if you can explain something in under two minutes? I'm sorry but, this video had too many missing information and wasn't helpful.

The omega comes from the bacterial strain which has only omega subunits and the alpha and omega together form an active beta galactosidase
