@@craigharris41 i wish those planes werent classified it would be indirect scamming to just make up a plane and sell it as an f35 or f22 bc we dont know what or how the f22 and f35 works but at the future i hope they make a module for them when they arent classified in the future (hopefully bc idrk when or if they might get unclassified ) for now there is a f22 mod and also a f35 mod (but the f35 mod was broken for like longer than 2 months so idk if they will fix the mod it doesnt work anymore it used to but when the new update came it broke)
I love how even Wags doesn't bother with the ATC in DCS because he knows it's just garbage too. One day I hope for a much more realistic ATC for the immersion factor.
New or much improved ATC is under development but first they overhaul the ATC for the Super Carrier modul and after that they move on for airfield ATC as well as improved radio with tanker, AWACS and JTAC. The future of DCS looks very promising 👍🏻

Heya Wagner! As it looks right now, are there any plans to add store G-limit / speed restrictions for your flagship modules like the 16 or the 18 to prevent hung munitions in the forseeable future? Since this is a significant operational limitation, it'd be great to hear some news on it, especially since the F/A-18 is nearing feature completion. Thanks!
Thanks for the video, and for DCS. Important to note that for a cold start the GBU38 needs to complete an alignment. It does that with general plane alignment but it’s better to make sure RDY appears in SMS page before taxi.

If I understand the implementation correctly, designate target 1 for let's say station 3 JDAM 1, change to weapon 2 on station 3 new target designation,rinse repeat for station 7 weapons. Approach release area, pickle 4 Jdams in one sweep? Boom goes for targets?
Wags! How did the C-130 hurt you?! You seem to have an issue with the Ol' Hurc! Also the Visual mode of the JDAM in the F-16 seems like a very imprecise way to use a VERY precise weapon, I cant wait to see for myself what its all about!

There is, but it's not coming in this version it seems. Personally I don't think it's a very important feature as the steerpoint-based mode works in the vast majority of scenarios, considering you will only be dropping 4 bombs at most.
@@OLIV3R_YT a redundant fuse/waste when the tail fuse is all that is needed for the JDAM. Nose plug is cheaper and the only thing needed. Also should be easier modeling for Eagle Dynamics to emulate in-game.
The 2000ibs JDAMS seem to have a much better chance to hit. The BRU-57 - 500ibs bombs took me 4 attempts. I am not sure if they are just less accurate or if the 2k ibs bombs just do more splash damage. The one that hit directly had a the shortest flight time.
That delayed fire is interesting. You could time the delay to allow,say other bombers and fighters to deploy munitions with delays so that when the last bombing run comes in on its bomb run, time it so to ensure all the bombs explode after the final bomb drops. That could be interesting for in heavely forested areas where there's troop concentrations or a barracks area. For massive effect, shock & awe...lol
the VIS mode is basically a way for you to slew the SPI with the HUD marker instead of the TGP. Once you TMS UP in the HUD, the SPI acts as if you had set it with the TGP.

Hi, you show designating with TGP. What about releasing at preplanned stpt? That is mostly the way these JDAM can be used to fire at preplanned assets.
Quick question if I may please? If re-arm JDAMS once mission starts on ground ( re-arming screen) I power up and the JDAM alignment doesnt display the get the 'RDY' message until I go gear up, is this correct? I get the alignment countdown after powering up, then blank until I take off . But If I start the mission already loaded I get no countdown just 'RDY' after powering up ( even when on the ground) . Is this normal behavior please? PS the weapons actually work fine in all cases.
A question: what would happen, if I'd enter the direction of hit for, say, 000', the opposite direction that kinetic bomb normally go. I don't think the bomb will go around target and hit it from the north :) ? Same question with minimum velocity - are there any limits to this value or, technically, how can bomb regulate it's terminal hit velocity without any sort of air brakes? In case of JSOW - it could somewhat work, but have someone tried JDAM drops with these settings? Do they work correctly in 2024?

Hey everyone. I seem to be missing something during startup. Whenever I select 'start from runway' or start in the air, the HAD is working fine. Whenever I do a cold start and head out, the HAD is functioning, but is not displaying any radars. My HARMs are turned on, Mastermode on, the left hardpoint switch is on (the HAD display is working), RWR power is on and threats also show up on the RWR, but they don't show up on the HAD. Is there some switch or mode I forgot to turn on at startup? Cheers.
NIce to see some love being given to the viper, even nicer to hear the Hornet is nearing completion too... so, regarding the '38s - target designation is only via the TGP or HUD, does that not negate the purpose of JDAMS being GPS guided and the ability to drop with the target obscured ? since it appears that you'd have to establish LOS with the TGP anyway. If didn't use the TGP would the target point be preset from the mission editor, since their was no apparent SMS LAT/LONG entry like the Hornet. ...perhaps these features will be on a later update ? - great work as always !!
Will our block 50's recieve the JHMCS? I figured they would since the hornet has the JHMCS and after doing research on them they both seem to have gotten this jhmcs upgrade with first upgrades happening around September of 1995. * I do not know how accurate this info is* it was pulled from multiple sites saying late 1995 and some others saying early 2000's

Just bought f-16 yesterday. Most of the A/G trainers are totally undoable because wpn triggers dont work or some other thing does not work in sms etc. A/a training missions have mission triggering (HOX! in mission itself triggers, different that A/G WPN-triggers, which also does not work) problems (they go to next step before have done ANYthing about anything (shoudl trigger after shooting stuff, well you get it..). But weirdest is that I trialed about 5 months ago viper, and back then was same thing: No AG (Weapon-) triggers working, and many of wpn controls / settings are more or less messed up. Is this going anywhere, any clue? Just for interest: Are those Jxxx (jdam; jsow) somehow different by triggers while dropped like from hornet, while they do work in hornet flawlessly (the triggers, or at least I can change em... :) ) I might sound moran, but why dont they work suddenly in f-16? Is it just f-16 buttons / displays that are not working, or is there somekind of renewal going on in DCS OB ? Do these work in non ob version? But yeah. Pretty dissapointed that first topics ppl wondering this are from 2 years ago, and still they dont work. I think it is fair to ask this, while paying full price on product. Yes I know it is beta but.. Sry for my "rally" english - Finnish ppl... :D

No, it is all based on the SPI location which can set several ways... steerpoint, HUD designation, TGP, AG radar, etc.

Seems like they are referenced to the targeting computer of the JDAM when designating a spi. Very handy.
It is simply based on the SPI.

There is no such thing in a 2007 Blk 50 Viper. You instead can create steerpoints and set as SPIs.

About the Auto Pilot 3:38: I thought it only works with both switches in combination, i.e. just setting it to "Attitude Hold" won't do anything?
I can see VIS mode making DEAD missions so much more efficient
That visual mode seems very similar to dtos, will we be getting dtos soon? I'm not aware of it working currently.

You can create a steerpoint and set that as your SPI for attack.
You can set a steer point with the DED through the STPT button on the ICP

Is there a way to do pre-planned attacks independent of Steer points (i.e. like PP mode in the hornet?)
You can create new steerpoints to act as SPIs. Viper IAM PP is more like the Hornet TOO mode than PP.

Just bought f-16 yesterday. Most of the A/G trainers are totally undoable because wpn triggers dont work or some other thing does not work in sms etc. A/a training missions have mission triggering (HOX! in mission itself triggers, different that A/G WPN-triggers, which also does not work) problems (they go to next step before have done ANYthing about anything (shoudl trigger after shooting stuff, well you get it..). But weirdest is that I trialed about 5 months ago viper, and back then was same thing: No AG (Weapon-) triggers working, and many of wpn controls / settings are more or less messed up. Is this going anywhere, any clue? Just for interest: Are those Jxxx (jdam; jsow) somehow different by triggers while dropped like from hornet, while they do work in hornet flawlessly (the triggers, or at least I can change em... :) ) I might sound moran, but why dont they work suddenly in f-16? Is it just f-16 buttons / displays that are not working, or is there somekind of renewal going on in DCS OB ? Do these work in non ob version? But yeah. Pretty dissapointed that first topics ppl wondering this are from 2 years ago, and still they dont work. I think it is fair to ask this, while paying full price on product. Yes I know it is beta but.. Sry for my "rally" english - Finnish ppl... :D

It is based on the SPI, so you can simple create a steerpoint and set that as your SPI.

Spudnocker has a trackIR profile that is incredibly good, it's the only one I use for DCS now, you might want to give it a try.

They can be, or a designation point via the HUD, TGP, or AG radar.
