Watching this motorcycle getting detailed is very soothing with the background music and slowed movement. Good job 👍

I had a new one exactly like that one. It was my last bike and I loved it. Plenty of power and comfort and looked so damn good.

    1995-2006: Vulcan 800 series
These were the VN800A introduced in 1995 and the first of Kawasaki's modern cruiser style. The VN800A featured a softail design, bobbed rear fender and a 21-inch front wheel

He really would not like the 95, it was the most aggressive, Kaw changed the sprockets in 96 making it smoother in lower gears.

This is a great 'feel good' kinda video. Thank you. Also, that sound when your kid first fires the bike up is amazing (...wish I could smell the exhaust man!). 👍

Thanks it's hard to keep close with the kids once they start to grow up. Hopefully between dirt and street riding and winter snowboarding we will continue to spend quality time together

Can’t wait to go home on leave and ride mine for the first time. It’s a 04 Kawasaki, Vulcan 1600 and it’s nice that pearl white looks beautiful in the sun

I just bought a 2005 with 10,500 miles on it. Great ride. Great ride to work and home.

I bought the 1995 version of the VN800A when new, and I still own it. Very little maintenance or repairs, although you need to adjust valve clearance with replaceable shims about every 8000 km. I don't like the narrow front tire, the back drum brake is not the strongest, Foot pegs aren't the most comfortable. My tires are tubeless. Water cooled. Overall it's been a great bike.

@@DaJoost075 Anyone that tall would be a bit cramped, IMO. I'm 5.7 with a 29 inch inseam. The bike has a 28 inch seat height, which is why I bought it.

Slight correction: This isn't the "Classic", it's the "A" (I think that's what they called it). The Classic was the Fat Boy/Heritage looking variant with thicker tires and grandpa fenders. The "Drifter" was the Indian looking one with great-grandpa fenders... :D
I bought a black 1996 "A" new back in the day because the dealer offered a "customized" version of the bike, featuring a flat seat, wide handle-bars, small engine crash-bars, nicer grips, smaller mirrors, etc. All of which made the bike look *so* much better than stock (always hated that sofa looking stock seat and the factory handle-bars). I also had them install a steel-braided brake-line, which made quite a big difference when I got to compare it to the stock line on the 1997 Classic a buddy of mine bought the following season. Sadly, the bike was so new and regulations over here in Europe are a bit stricter, so there were no aftermarket pipes available yet when I bought the bike. Stock pipes (EU-spec) sounded ok to me but not great and I never liked the look of that black "plug-disc" they had with the tiny real exhaust pipe sticking out of it.
Not sure about its lack of modern safety features like ABS when compared to current bikes, but other than that, this should make a fine first motorcycle (it was one for me). Power is very decent but not overwhelmingly so, the brakes work fine and the bike's handling felt surprisingly nimble for what it is and for how relatively heavy it is. There were a couple of (then current) Fat Boys in the group I rode with and the VN800 felt almost like a sports-bike compared to those cumbersome things - I would always have to go way easy on the gas or else I would've constantly left the H-Ds behind. First time I hopped on one of the Fat Boys, they felt downright scary compared to the Kawa - no power, no brakes and handling like an oil-tanker. I also remember riding with a full-size adult dude on my passenger seat and repeatedly blowing off another buddy racing between the lights who was solo on his 883 Sportster. All in all, I truly miss that bike to this day (sold it in the early 2000s) and I'm kinda saddened by the fact that no manufacturer seems to have something like it in their current line-up.

My dad wouldnt even let me have a mini bike or dirt bike or anything. Ive rode them at friends houses and what not. Getting my first bike this year and Ive been eyeing the Vulcan 800. Quality content, nice bike.

Hopefully it's something we will always be able to do together. Try and keep the father son bond into his team years is not easy with Friends and girls. But when he asked last week to go away for the weekend dirt bike riding was the best feeling ever.

I have owned three Honda Interceptors - The 700, 750, and 1000. The 1000 was a 6 speed and was amazing on the freeway. Did 80 mph with zero issues being it's a 116hp.
