Hello and thank you for your comment! Unfortunately, Transient isn't currently supported. A multistep analysis in Static Structural is an alternative, as Transient would be much more complex to solve, and a cyclic condition would really defeat the purpose. Aside from that, we suggest you contact your Ansys support provider for further assistance. If you are interested in any of our engineering services, please email info@simutechgroup.com. Thank you so much for sharing this valuable video. When I used this method for multy body cyclic symmetry analysis, I am getting discretized stress result. Is ther any way to solve this problem? Thanks in advance. Talha
No. Cyclic symmetry can not work with 2D analysis. But you can use frictionless support for cyclic line if you can cut your body from center of rotation to outer side with a straight line.

This was extraordinary! Really helpful, Thanks.
how to do this in Transient Mech?

Hello,
How can we use this method to obtain reaction forces with components in the global coordinate system?
Thank you
Is there anything else to paid attention to ?Cause I actually can't create the same result as you do .Reply please, thank you
Why can't we do tetra mesh (I tried) for cyclic symmetry components, can you please explain?

thanks very much, sir!
Is it possible to do this with a plain strain model?
No. Cyclic symmetry can not work with 2D analysis. But you can use frictionless support for cyclic line if you can cut your body from center of rotation to outer side with a straight line.
This is no longer valid in 2024 R1. I was able to have a linear path result and use Cyclic Symmetry.
