- 🇺🇸EN: In today's video we have one of the Volkswagens artworks, the 1.4 TDI in a 2001 9N Polo with 325.000 km, still going all in on the Autobahn. It's really impressive that you can drive this car with a mixed consumption of under 5l/100km and then hop on the highway and drive 150-160km/h with ease. Comfort at high speeds is not its strength though, it can get pretty shaky at those speeds.

Es ist wirklich beeindruckend, dass man dieses Auto mit einem gemischten Verbrauch von unter 5l/ 100km fahren im Stadt fahren kann und dann auf die Autobahn 150-160km/ h mit Leichtigkeit fahren kann. Komfort bei hohen Geschwindigkeiten ist jedoch nicht seine Stärke, es kann bei diesen Geschwindigkeiten ziemlich wackelig werden.

Yepp, that's definitely an early example. We had one from 2002 and in the first production year, the airbag label on the dash was different. It's more seamless, you have to check it to see it's there. Also the VW logo is blue in the steering wheel, not grey, like the cars have from the 2003 modell year.

I did 180 too but on the GPS, autobahn 73 to Cuxhaven, with unmodified 75hp 9N TDI, probably 185 on the speedometer. Very close to the engine ruptor point. It took about 5 km to reach that speed on flat terrain.

Mine has 400.000 km and still make 180.... insane

Diesel engines are designed to be more durable especially when they're german.
Seems strange to have that many rpm on a diesel in most situations. I would swear that this were a petrol car.

What oil would you recommend for these pd engines..
i use Shell Helix Ultra c3 0w30
5w-30 or 5w-40 Castrol
@@gokhandemir44 i ude 0w30 but make sure its C 3 type if you have DPF filter
@@aantonic there is no DPF filter in polo 1.4 tdi 9N model as far as I know.Mine doesn't.

shouldn't you be able to reach 190 as top speed instead of 180 ?
Not really, even in the registration of the car it is given a top speed of 170kmh
