The problem with the team is they can't lock in and go to work. There's no chemistry in the team. The team isn't meshing well. The coach is doing all he can. Now it's time for the team to step up and overcome adversity. DJ needs to read the field quicker and attack. Or pull the ball down and run. He is supposed to be a dual threat quarterback. But he is failing. Time to tighten up DJ.
As a life-long FSU fan, we're not used to this lol! We just came off an undefeated regular season last year to now this! Yikes! Talk about a rollercoaster!
I know there's no tangible way of measuring this, but I think that being left out of the CFP, then throwing their toys out of the pram and getting annihilated by Georgia in the bowl game still affects this team, even if its just subconscious. Mentality is so important in sports, and I think that damaged the mentality and the culture of the program.
Their still not technically eliminated, they might could even lose another game , they either have to win out or win the acc, both of which are still possible, very unlikely, but possible
@HarrisHighlights they rlly wouldn't even have to win out tho , Notre Dame and Memphis aren't conference games , and it's not crazy to say that an acc team with a 6-2 conference record could make their conference championship game, and if they won it they'd likely be in , I'm not predicting it , buy they don't have to get an at large bid to make it, unless the committee would rank 2 G5 conference Champs over them , which I just don't see.
they won the ACC Championship without JT and DJU.... Kid did pretty good for his first time starting a BIG GAME!!! He could've very well won the playoffs, but they didn't get in. And they replaced his with someone like DJU that just sucks.. You don't know FSU football if you knew Glenn should've been QB1 since QB1 went down.
Where all them FSU fans that were bragging about how they stole something from Alabama when they signed Norvell to that contract extension? They’ve all disappeared like a fart in a wind storm lol. Alabama would’ve footed the bill and paid FSU to keep Mike Norvell, but nah FSU paid. And now they stuck with him. He’s not the caliber of coach they paid for. He’s an upgrade over Willie Taggart but he’s not an elite top notch coach. This is his 9th season as a CFB HC and he only has 2 conference titles. 1 in his first 4 years at Memphis 2016-2019, and last year for Florida State 2020-present.
That 2021 game against Georgia fucked DJU watching him play it looks like he forgot how to play QB. Norvell might get the Jimbo treatment and wait until his buyout drops then fire him
This year stings as a Noles fan coming in as a fan for a second season. QB is Cheeks and can't even throw in the end zone, can't even pronouce his name. Defense is horrible with the interior DL, and LBs. Mike Norvell is turning into Jimbo Fisher. Could be the absolute worst team in FSU potentially. Finebaum is right, we will finish unranked this season. Norvell did everything right bringing in 3 5 Stars (2 of them dropped to 4 stars) in recruiting, got a lot of transfers in which looked like they could fill holes (but are horrible). We look worse than Vanderbilt. And if we were leaving the conference it would be to the American... I'll be happy if we go 6-6 this year, but atleast the fake fans are gone who are only here to cry about 2023-2024 season (even though I think it was a snub, I focus on next season)
FSU is always overrated. I’m surprised they went undefeated last year, but let’s be real. The only reason they didn’t make the playoffs was because the committee wanted an SEC team in , even tho NONE of them should have been in
