Hi Vlad, I am doing the same analysis but with steel. I am facing a problem in the sense that on using a finer mesh that is more number of nodes my beam is becoming more stiffer unlike the other way around. Shouldn't the beam become less stiff and bend mre on inc. the no. of nodes, because of more D.O.F??
Well, do u know the reason of this: "When you drawn the section, u click on the centerline of the drawing and create the point there. Actually this step makes the software to split your beam into 2 parts of surface with the line in between". I got this problem, I cannot remove the point so I have to delete the other half of the section in the other side of the centerline and then I just use the mirror function and then problem solved, but I am curious about why I cannot draw it by your method?

However some of the things you didn't really explain and just said "select this" or "now we do this" without really saying why, e.g. the datum plane and partition. Also you said you used a IPE200 cross-section. You miseed the fillet radius of it for it to be 100% correct, why didn't you include it for the model when doing it in 3D?

I am analysing a steel beam.I enter the yield stress to be 235Mpa for the strain 0 and no stresses above.And then i load the beam with a displacement.When i look at von mises stress,i see, that those stresses at some points are much more than 235Mpa.For example, at some points it is 380Mpa.Do you know what could be the reason?
Hello. That shouldn't happen. You should make sure that the materials, sections and section assignments are defined correctly. If you have done that and you still have this problem, start it from scratch and see if it persists.
i tried to follow all steps of this vedio. but it always shows error: too many attempts, or time increments required is less than the minimum specified...
