When it arrived there, the tv executives said What’s with the white guy in the trumpet section? It wasn’t shown there; possibly it was many decades later. To describe Bill Berry as a white guy is a bit of a stretch. If you saw him in person, you would see the ruddiest complexion ever. God bless him, he lead a wonderful band on the West coast for many years. Played mostly the great Ellington book
