    I like the longer videos. It gives a sense of what the car traffic in London is and what improvements to bicycle infrastructure are still needed. Keep them coming!

    That "watch it!! watch it!!" was absolutely necessary😄😄

    London has to ban private cars during larger parts of the day. Even if 100% of it's fleet were electric tomorrow, there's simply no more space. London also has to make more of it's streets 1 way to build out it's sidewalks and build real protected bike lanes. Delaying further is just going to make the traffic worse.

    Last time I drove some of these roads was probably coming up for 20 years ago, some bits are very memorable but a lot of it is totally unrecognisable!
    I remember sitting one morning approaching Camberwell Green as a car roared up behind me then ducked into the bus lane to skip the queue, and the clang as he pushed an empty skip about 20ft down the road. If he thought he was having a bad day he didn't bank on the pack of angry builders that descended on him for pushing their skip away from the shop they were refitting...

    0:06 super weary of people like that guy coming up against the direction of traffic on the left.
    There have been reports of people using rental bikes and scooters as a tool to knock you off your bike by forcing a collision or throwing it directly in your path so you fall off/go over the handlebars and they can steal your bike.
    Its almost happened to me once but i was lucky enough there was enough of a gap between me and the cars to swerve out the way.
    Otherwise. Love seeing so many people out on the road with their bikes!

      He was taking risks that I wasn’t really happy with, so backed off.

    @CyclingGaz How often, or after how many miles do you need to true your wheels? What make are they?
    Crooked wheels are making cycling not so fun for me.

    • @CycleGaz
      @CycleGaz  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not that often. I have hand built wheels that are very sturdy. Roads are good quality around here

      @@CycleGaz Who builds your wheels for you? Are they custom made, or hand built to a high standard and available to order?
      Whoever builds them I think I need their services/product.

      I use a wheel builder who custom builds them for me. DCR wheels.

    How long will a drive with a car need for that way?

    • @CycleGaz
      @CycleGaz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you did it now, the middle of the day, it's 35 minutes. You'll looking at more than an hour during commuting times.

      @JuergenHoppe1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CycleGaz OK, you needed 25 minutes, for the regular cyclist 30 minutes then.
      Let me think about it, use a) a bicycle or b) ...
      A!
      Seeing all those cars bumper to bumper, I really don't get why I would want to waste my time sitting in traffic.

      Amber means stop if safe to do so. It had changed and a split second later I was through it. Clearly not safe to stop.
