    I saw this video again recently and I just want to say I really loved it. The editing, the b-roll, other perspectives, the storyline of a longer race... This is my favorite Super GT content. I feel like recent videos have been focused on a bunch of shorter races and it's sometimes hard to get into them. At the same time I do like watching you improve at a race over a few tries. I just really love this style of video too and I would love seeing more of it.

    I started in P7 and took P4 (on controller) in the GT2 League. I’d say I timed the count down from grid perfectly. I started on Mediums and Finished on Softs. But I did spin in full 360 (layed off the gas) in Pouhon Corner on Softs on Lap 14 and used up small amount of Overtake (DRS) before entering Fagnes Corner to get me up to speed and hold P4 to finish. The next day went from B DR and got my A DR.

    That's a philosophy I've used for a long time in Gran Turismo: Even if you're not the best driver, just try to drive cleanly. If you just relax and drive your race without making any big mistakes of your own, there's a good chance you'll end up relatively far ahead. That's because half of the field of drivers crashes anyway.

  • @orcastrike7750
    @orcastrike7750 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    What I’ve found with Pouhon is that if you go over the outside kerb while taking it, you’ll kind of get stuck there and won’t be able to get back towards the inside of the corner. If you manage to stay on the asphalt though you’ll have full mobility through the turn (this is what I’ve discovered in Assetto, I’m not sure if that characteristic is true to life or if it’s just exclusive to Assetto’s physics/tire model).

    I've driven a race once at Spa. Fourty-five years ago in some Belgian cup thing for adapted street cars. We (a friend and me and a wannabe mechanic) had a Lamborghini Ghibli 1969 with which we entered a few races. One in Nijvel (Nivelle) and one in Spa. Can't remember the third one and I'm not sure we ever made that last race. The circuit looked totally different back then as they were in the works of having the course changed from the 14Km long stretch to the 7Km current lay-out. This must have been 1977 or 1978. Lots of construction works going on and a general feel of driving up someone's building site. The car broke down after maybe ten rounds and I gave up and went into motor-cross. Had a Maico 500 two-stroke machine in the garage and took my chances with that. Didn't fare any better, but we had lots of fun. We being the mechanic I had and me. Cheerio lad. It's fun watching you muscle yerself around a circuit. There's talent there.

    The best way to control the car in the fast left hander is with throttle control you gotta be careful to not spin out the rear and not go too inside since you can't touch the piano or its definitely a crash
