The craziest year in college football

I have a big 2007 plan in progress might be late summer until it releases but it is by far my biggest project.
2007 was the year of the biggest upset.
Arkansas had a backfield of one hit wonders. Peyton Hillis, Darren McFadden, Felix Jones. They were all awesome in college though
Darren McFadden wasn't a one hit wonder...dude played a full decade in the NFL
Justin Felix Jones was solid too and Peyton Hillis has that one great year for the browns

Dude MacFadden and Felix Jones both played 6+ years in the NFL. McFadden Started almost his whole career, Felix Jones started for a couple years but was considered a #2 but still had starting potential. Only reason he didn't start the majority of his career with the cowboys was because of Marion Barber, he was a beast. Peyton Hillis had the shortest career but got a HUMONGOUS payday that one year that he straight dominated and was put on the cover of Madden. These dudes were PROS in college. Bama's had it's share of great RB's but this Arkansas backfield was the best trio of backs ever assembled.
This was right around the Benoit Fiasco after the Virginia Tech Tragedy
The game that birthed an eventual #1 Mizzou... 😭
And then they lost the following week, as did #2 WVU. 2007 was such a crazy year. Ohio State and LSU, who both played in the Natty, weren't even in the BCS top 2 during championship week. LSU was #7 and had 2 losses and it took a complete meltdown for them to get there.

How you forget Hester. Dude was a hero that year and still a legend in a lot of ppls eyes. If not for him, we don't beat Florida that year. And 3 losses would have changed everything. No Natty for sure.
