How much content does this game have? I'm kind of interested in it but would probably be a solo player. Does it still make sense to play it if you automated everything or does it get boring and stale?
This is a game you could easily spend hundreds of hours in, but only if you like the things in the game.. The main progression will certainly take many hours, although beyond unlocking new tiers of technology there is no "point" to the game yet. Many players get satisfaction out of building huge factories, exploring more of the world, or using a variety of designs to get things working. I would say it's similar to Minecraft. In Minecraft you aren't required to make a huge base and automate things like food, and you don't need to explore the world, but doing all of those things makes the game more enjoyable especially if you enjoy those activities.
i took a break with update 5, but dang there are alot of improvements. Am gonna wait abit longer before diving back with a complete new game with all the new features
Very cool! Just an idea but if would be nice if we could build habitats that gave us timmed buffs. This video that you commented on isn't by Coffee Stain Studios; this guy doesn't work on the game and can't implement your suggestion. (Except, perhaps, as a mod, but you could do that too.)
I've played this game without watching any videos or tutorials. I was not using load and save and didn't discover there is a map until after more than 100 hours into the game. It was fun just exploring and gradually evolving my factory. Sometimes frustrating to return back where I was killed far away in a jungle to pick up the gear just to get killed again. Oh and I didn't figure out there was a flashlight until later, so I was waiting for the night to pass so I don't get killed by a creature. I think with these new updates where the map is available so early kills much of the charm of the game. But, anyways, you can only play a game once for the first time. I had my fun.
That's a great point. You can never get back that first experience, but I think there is still plenty of stuff that is "hidden" unless the playey goes looking. Like the game doesn't tell you about the flashlight.

Yeah, there are no specifics yet. But they definitely did say that future updates will probably be small and more focused on details rather than major content updates. I don't think even they know when Update 7 will be.
I don't think that is new. If you fall from any height with Blade Runners, you will survive if you started at full health. I'll have to check to see if there are any other changes to health, thanks for bringing it up.
I didn't know that with the blade runner maybe because i'm never full life when i fall XD, it looked like it was implemented for falling without the blade runner but mabe it was a reference to the blade runner falling controle that i ignored well their is one easy way to test it XD
Not played since April, have they made improvements to how the game runs overall? Every time I added a new complex or turbofuel plant my average Frame Rate would take a significant dive which is getting to be quite frustrating.
They are always working on optimizations. The only advice I can give is to make sure you're building bases spread out across the map in different biomes rather than building one giant base in a single spot.
Yeah, they kind of buried it but it's honestly awesome. I'm too lazy to eat food most of the time, so I was always at 3 health bars. It'll be nice to have more health going forward.
Personally i LOVED the christmas update, hope they make more events like it, maybe even to unlock items to use after the event. And map modding, to allow custom fanmade maps, revamped original maps and even if possible a steampunk version of the game :)
The body slots alone was worth the patch and quality of life (QoL). The boombox was a great unexpected bonus. The create AI is MUCH more aggressive and faster. It's fantastic.
Creatures became way to easy in my opinion. I became nervous when comming across an alpha spitter before. Now i just stand next to it and hit it a few times without having to pay much attention.
Love the update over all but a few issues I noticed: Music is cutting in and out during game play, (did you add new music?) hyper-tubes still have your gear floating around, and the enemies while much more interesting are still too easy. You can use rails to take out bee nest with no danger to you, they should continually spawn while under attack and bee attack radius should be larger. Add a jumping ability so the giant walking whale things can get unstuck instead of being obnoxious for an hour. Also, can you please add a module that snaps onto a hyper-tube that speeds you up? I have miles of hyper tubes and it can take a long while to get there! Thank coffee stain, you guys rock.
This is a fan channel, not Coffee Stain, but I appreciate the comment. You can send suggestions and bugs to questions.satisfactorygame.com I have the music bug too, actually, so I'd love to see that get fixed.
@@SatisfactoryNews I've noticed the boombox goes quieter while in the hypertube. And yes if one looks closely boomboxes and other things float separately while in the hypertube. I think that's so they don't have to change the model or animation while in the tube.
@@SatisfactoryNews its been a long time and the game has more functionality than most... I don't care if its a finished story or partial, just cant build another factory without a point without getting bored even though I want to.
ah, satisfactory. I allways wanted to play this game more, but the confusing mechanics at some point, together with barely working coop, makes it very hard for me to enjoy. but, it is nice to see the game still thriving
Yeah I started a new world for Update 5 and plan on keeping it until 1.0, where I will restart the game. They have said there aren't going to be too many major updates between now and 1.0, and that the story elements probably won't come out until 1.0. So I thunk it's safe to keep current saves (unless you just want to start over, for fun).
I like most of these, but I think it was good having the map unlock later (nice to have the players use the old brain juice to navigate) and I think you don't need to heal up automatically like a modern FPS shooter because there's plenty of healing items around.

Hahaha. In all seriousness, they live in Sweden, where there is traditionally a long summer vacation, so it's pretty normal for most of the company to be gone all at once like this.
I was shocked to find my base infested with hostiles, but that's not too bad since they provide some easy alien parts . Hopefully they won't respawn though, pest control is annoying. Nature is best when it stays neutralized. My favorite bit is that you can have multiple gear, so gas mask and blade runners for quickly darting into poison areas.
Cool stuff. I hope they revert the health regeneration. The game is just TOO easy now. Make a batch of 10 inhalers and you're good to go for the ENTIRE game. Kind of silly. Also, the spitters seem to have had their damage nerfed significantly. They pose no threat anymore
You should have an infinite backpack, it so annoying organizing stuff. You spend half of your time searching for materials you need its not fun. Even if you use an easy cheat its annoing :D
I feel that, 1080p gaming isn't solid either tbh. But, that's early access! It will definitely get better over time and much has been done to make performance better.
It was so awesome when I went to play some satisfactory when I see the new loading screen! I was freaking out and imidietly watched the trailer. I was so excited!
No matter how much you add, no matter how many updates you put out, I am not buying the game until you add fully procedural map. Because once you memorize where everything is, where every resource is located and how to place belts on every bit of terrain to get there, there's no point of playing anymore. The logistics are figured out. The puzzle is gone.
This channnel isn't the devs so I recommend saying this to them, not me. That being said, I totally get what you mean. Personally I don't mind. I think having a single, static map allows them to balance things in a very specific way.

yep, my almost whole oil production, electricity and plastics disapeared inside rock and cliffs :D
rip
More ammo for the ever same 2 types of aliens.... fun
5:55 a new spider type huh...
Nice overview!
The body slots alone was worth the patch and quality of life (QoL). The boombox was a great unexpected bonus. The create AI is MUCH more aggressive and faster. It's fantastic.
Agreed, I think everyone would have been fine if Update 6 was just the Body Slot update.
Creatures became way to easy in my opinion. I became nervous when comming across an alpha spitter before. Now i just stand next to it and hit it a few times without having to pay much attention.
Spiders jump much higher.
They completely ignored telling us about the powerpole changes???
Yeah I can't believe they didn't advertise that one more!
cant wait for josh to play with this
sick updated 🔥
Holster is a very simple addition but GOD do I like it !
i am gonna build an america factory where i produce all the ammo types and guns
You can send suggestions and bugs to questions.satisfactorygame.com
I have the music bug too, actually, so I'd love to see that get fixed.
@@SatisfactoryNews I've noticed the boombox goes quieter while in the hypertube. And yes if one looks closely boomboxes and other things float separately while in the hypertube. I think that's so they don't have to change the model or animation while in the tube.
I think you cant slide anymore😢
oh you definitely can
@@SatisfactoryNews how? With c it doesnt work for me.
You really should mention the mini game they slyly hid in the HUB... 😁
I think that was in Update 5, but yes it's a fun addition :)
I really wish they would work on their story already!
I believe that's the plan for the full 1.0 release but they obviously need to get the functionality of the game done first :)
It definitely requires a math-oriented brain! And I do wish multiplayer was more stable, but there are so many strange issues for clients.
Love to get a more depth look on the new stuff be a good video to send a link to new people if they want to know more
Hmm. I just got done with a big build in my latest world. GUESS IT'S TIME TO START A NEW ONE :D! Although maybe I'll just wait out 1.0.
Amazing video
Let's game it out I can hear him saying "is there a limit"
Turns out there iiiiis a limit!
Игру сделали очень лёгкой.раньше выживать ещё приходилось а теперь просто конструктор .да ещё эти канкуляторы везде,думать самому уже совсем не надо.но в любом случае разрабы молодцы . P.S привет из Сибири
I gotta start a new base!
I didn't know that game devs took vacations, I just thought that they were ai making ai
Hahaha. In all seriousness, they live in Sweden, where there is traditionally a long summer vacation, so it's pretty normal for most of the company to be gone all at once like this.
Any chance we could get a lift/elevator? That'd be amazing
That'd be amazing. I'd love one for vehicles as well.
Yeah, I feel like they wanted to make exploration less risky, but also more varied and interesting.
Not true.
You’ve just been playing for a longer time than most.
I saw a boar with on jetpack on him, he lauch himself into the air and then dive on me to explose on the ground, and die.
might consider returning to this world
so have i missed something?, when you use the chainsaw you wont get limestone or silica anymore..
You should have an infinite backpack, it so annoying organizing stuff. You spend half of your time searching for materials you need its not fun. Even if you use an easy cheat its annoing :D
It's all about balancing. But yeah, mods can help with that. A "creative mode" would be nice.
This Update 6 made me play again and get rid of mods and play vanilla again and subscibe to this channel
I love that! Enjoy your time!
M.A.M research
Mammary search?
I really wish they have implemented DLSS in this game. I know they tried before and it's not successful yet but 4k gaming in a megabase is very laggy
I fucking found the game I'll be nerd of
Best game on the Internet
satisfactory update at a cheap price?
satisfactory
based
Excuse me ma'am!
This game needs new map
bro the current map isn't even finished yet
