I like the functional aesthetic, like it’s grown naturally over time to meet a need rather than many of the builds you see that are over-designed with the look prioritized over the function.
My favourite is the frame factory, with that model of the frame on the top. Really cool idea. Also that train bridge at 13:02. I will definitely be stealing that design. Looks like you and your wife have shared some quality time, building a great looking factory world. Well done.
It's a good goal! I'm automating almost everything but there are a few items like specific weapons that I am not automating. But I also don't use them much.
Space Elevator should have a toggleable integrated sink. Whenever you turn it on, anything that goes into it that it doesn't need, gets sunk. You get no tickets from it, but that way you could just route to it ALL your project assembly parts, without the need to make sure the lines and inputs are clear. Might actually see people using all six inputs that way.
Amazing video and great credit to you and your wife. I love the building styles you progressed through over time, quite amazing, i guess i will now have to watch all of your previous videos so as to steal some your great building techniques. As for a new start was not going to do that but now i will after reading the many nice comments below. Anyways thanks for sharing your story. Pete PS, I reall liked some of your early buildings still standing and a partly empty, gives a real life feeling to it.
Thanks for the very kind comment! I have a video about simple building techniques, that I would recommend if you're looking specifically for inspiration.
In my actual savegame I tried again to use the vehicles, but the autopilot and the path´s are just a disaster. I hope they fix that, it would be nice to be able to use them, too.
I think that it's a good idea to start over. Between new nodes, new recipes, and timed story elements, I think you'll get a better experience by starting fresh.
@@SatisfactoryNews okay I was wondering for the Longest because I know would be extremely hard to re route everything to new nodes to have everything back and running I almost 600 hours which are nothing compared to others
Awesome builds. 1.0 and videos like yours are why I'll probably come back and start a new world, I've never built a world this impressive. How do you keep track of outputs and where they go? I saw a sign at one point saying "x needed for y". I felt like I could never keep track of resources and would constantly be chasing down starved belts.
Basically, I don't keep track. For the most part, my factories are somewhat self contained and planned out from the start. So systems are built with everything they need. Or they have an excess, in which case I will sometimes indicate that with a sign. But I'm a fan of over-producing so there aren't any bottlenecks. Then just leave it alone.
Computer components should be put in a "clean room" type design. ALways enclosed. Since you're trying to go for realism. Weapons factories should be located away from everything else due to well.. common sense. But man great job. Especially the roads. i so sucked at getting me to look worth a crap. I sure hope 1.0 has a TON of upgrades to make things easier and look better. Clipping is a huge pet peeve for me and so many.
Ha! I was not going for realism but you're right! I might have to go for a clean room look next time, with a full ventilation system and everything. Thanks though, I love the roads. Took forever to get them right.
Just *happened* to be by the Space Elevator when the last component comes down the line 🤣 Very nice ending for the EA worlds and clears the way for the 1.0 world.

Yeah, I would like to get a little more in between, and have more or a plan, in my 1.0 save, but I do love the stories that this current build has.

I thought about taking BPs with me to new game.. but i know i won't use them, something about making everything from scratch just feels right
I like that! :)
I don't mess with blueprints for this exact reason. If I'm not placing down everything fresh, it feels wrong
The no clipping belts make me happy =)
Got to be the most effort I've seen in a game GG's
Thanks!
What an awesome Save!
Im going to take tons of inspiration from that into my own world!
Great work! I love that you make every item or almost every item in the game that can be automated, since that is my goal for 1.0 too xD

smart splitters (overflow)
I have started over so many times. And somehow when I reached Aluminium there was a new update and I started over lol. Amazing builds you made btw.

Thank you i am always looking for inspiration, i will most definitely be watching that video.
nice work 👍
I really liked the video. It's a great world you made there.
Wow, this is pretty f**king cool. Definitely gonna use this as inspiration for future builds

They work alright when you're far away from them because they "teleport" between the path nodes when you're far away, instead of actually driving.
It is beautiful!
I have a lot to learn yet =)
Satisfactory News, I love this video!
I was wondering if is better to start over after the update since mines would be moved around????

Wow. All my worlds end up looking like something from Lets Game It Out
0:11 It's not "most people." It's a minority of incredibly creative people that share their builds on social media.
true, i wish i was part of that “most people”
True. "Most people" from among the people that share their builds. Haha.
pretty freakin amazing!
thanks for all the good content and sharing your save, my skills at building in the game are not great so kudos to you!
Thanks for the kind words!

The "hidden office" is liminal space nightmare fuel
It really is 😂 especially since I legitimately forgot about it until I was recording the shot of the truck station, haha.
I love the wall
Looks awesome!!
@ 4:32 what stairs are those?
Catwalk stairs I believe

i'm currently workin on a world rn but everything i'm using isn't gonna be changed in 1.0 cause ngl i don't feel like restarting again xD
How many hours?Looks amazing😍😍😍
About 450 hours! And a fair few of those final hours are just letting the game run in the background to finish the space elevator lol
@@SatisfactoryNews looking at my 1400 hrs, and multiple restarts and saves......One day. One day I will get there.
