Liszt - Liebestraum no 3, Solo for Electric Guitar

- Me and my telecaster playing the magnificent Liebestraum no 3 ("a Love dream") written by grand master Franz Liszt (1811-1886) originally for the piano.
Based on a transcription made by classical guitar maestro Mario Parodi (1917-1970).
I used a Nash T52 into Vox pathfinder 15r amp.
Enormous thanks to my brothers: Alon Levinberg, who filmed, and Matan Levinberg who recorded and mixed. And of course to my Liebe - Lital Elkoubi, who designed the set.

I discovered this tune as an alarm tone in my cheap disposable Nokia phone 10 years ago... it used to wake me up in my guest house bedroom (which apparently somebody had died in)... tiny little cockroaches everywhere, dodgy fridge, usually I had a red wine hangover... this tune, in all of it's 8-bit glory, would beckon me into the day... as a connoisseur of this particular piece, you play it extremely well.

This was very sweet to hear, and really delightful to see you transcribe to electric guitar, Guy! Im a beginner, and ive so far been disappointed with classical music being overly "shredded" up rather than cleanly played but its honestly a real joy to me that you nailed Brahms and Liszt with such clean, articulate tone. Your version of Claire De Lune also makes my heart swell, as it is first in line for me to learn. I know what you do is quite niche, but i certainly hope you continue doing it so we can see more than the three videos you have on youtube AND get lots of views and actually paid. Not a bad idea! Although the Chopin nocturne has lots of similarities with Liebestraum no. 3
@@guylevinberg1093 Yeah, they’re both my favorites from each composer respectively. I just think your tone would fit it really well. For something more different, how about Debussy’s Arabesque No. 1, Bach’s Prelude No. 1 in C major, or Schubert’s Serenade?
