@@frdinis i personally use water since i clean it frequently. it’s more reassuring and i never let it reach the point where there’s stubborn residue and would need a screen cleaner. i soak a piece of soft tissue paper and start on the middle then wipe it dry with a microfiber cloth using a little bit of pressure.

Cleaning in this way makes micro scratches on the display. Generally, it is better to touch the display as little as possible ... normally the scratches are not visible, but if someone paranoidly cleans the screen, I advise them to shine a flashlight on the phone up close and see what damage they have done to the coating anti-reflective.

Great video! One thing I would add is to keep track of the order/location of the screws when removing the back case becuse on some MB models they are specific to the hole location.
I find water is always the best to clean the screen with, just dry it with a dry cloth or paper towel after and it never leaves any streaks and cleans fairly well

To remove them on a laptop screen the safest way is to use a non abrasive cleaning product that is meant for hard water and lime scale. However, i do believe they are quite rare because most Cleaning products are a bit abrasive given that they are commonly made to clean window screen and bathroom fixtures.

PSA: I sprayed my hinge with compressed air for too long and too tilted, condensed all over the bottom of the screen and permanently ruined my LCD. It now has very bright spots all along the bottom inch of the screen.
What about getting a silicone keyboard protector? I’ve heard they can damage screens but I’m notorious for spilling stuff on my laptop. I’m super clumsy.

I picked up a second hand 13 inch 2015 macbook pro and noticed the screen was a bit grubby and wanted to give it a clean I may have to replace the battery sometime soon always at home with access to a charger so not worried but hey 250 bucks for one of the best macbooks to ever be made is a bargain

Why does your MacBook remain shut down when you pressed on your keyboard/trackpad? My m1 MacBook turns on as soon as I click any keys or the trackpad. So it is very annoying whenever I try to disinfect it.

i clean my macbook and other laptops with mixture of dettol and water with 1:9 ratio and it works perfectly fine. 9 parts of water and 1 part of dettol, try that

@@ibtissamboutbel599don't use water, use alcohol (rubbing alcohol / 90% concentrated) because it dry faster, make electronics safe from short circuit

For the mac M2 (what I have) a microfiber clothe leaves smudges (bcz it is a different display) so apple recommends you to use their polishing cloth

No the dishwasher is better. Make sure to take out the motherboard and put it in next to the shell to make sure it gets cleaned as well as possible.

Best is to go with anti static wipes it not only cleans the surface but chances of getting scratches is minimal.

I’d be careful with how much moisture you use when cleaning the keyboard - I’ve broken a few apple keyboards cleaning them with too much liquid.

Don’t use alcohol for the screen. Use a slightly damp (with water) cloth or special screen cleaning solution.
