Only catholics living as a minority could understand that proclaiming Jesus as the truth, the way, and the life is not always about explicitly saying it out loud in public.
Interreligious dialogue is a must as it opens many doors for others to witness our faith. In fact, this humble approach is way way more effective in attracting tens of thousands of new catechumens every year in Asia.
Complaints or concerns from conservative groups are legit. But we need to distinguish a dogmatic stance from pastoral approaches. Most of the times, Pope Francis talks about pastoral aspects.
