Actually, Maui has a tattoo for everything he's done, so if it appeared as a tattoo on his body, it's something he did. We see him get the tattoo for helping Moana and it appeared magically, meaning the other tattoos just be the same.
the comics used to bring a bunch of movie characters into the Mickey Mouse & friends universe. The cat from Pinocchio is Minnie's pet sometimes, Madam Mim has teamed up with the beagle boys you might know from Ducktales, the mice from Cinderella live in the farm of Donald Duck's grandma, the big bad wolf frequently teams up with villains from Song of the South, etc

1:05:15 WOAH!!! I caught the Phone case easter egg, but ive never seen that billboard!!! That billboard is using like, second draft concept art for Zootopia too! It has to come from just after they abandoned the Jack Savage early concepts to focus more on the world that became Zootopia
I've seen another one with a rabbit too, but I don't remember where, and I don't know if it has to do with Jack Savage because that's a really early concept of the movie, it's most likely related to the wild times script, I mean it fits with the slightly edgy tone of the billboards lol.
The problem with the Bambi's mum theory, is the fact that Bambi's story takes place in a North American forest that is also supposed to take place in the early 1900's, while Gaston's story takes place in the 1700's France.
On the subject of the genie and his references, I remember another channel saying that it could simply just be explained as him being this omnipotent being that just exists outside of time, hence why he just knows about things in the future.
if u wanna explain the Genie’s transformation eggs just think about how he has time travel abilities!!! He quite literally stated that he’s “looked into the future” when he told Aladdin he’ll never find a girl like Jasmine again. Which MEANS its 100% possible he traveled to all of the places and times he made references to.
There is, i think, a connection with aladdin and merlin from the sword in the stone, at the end of aladdin when the genie says that he's going on vacation to honolulu with his friend, and almost at the end of the sword in the stone, merlin says "honolulu here i come", ALSO when merlin comes back, he has the same shirt as the genie, so yeah.
This might be a bit late but I could have sworn someone who worked on Zootopia mentioned Nick was a descendant of Robinhood in universe, and given that both worlds are 100% animal based, and we know that another person who worked on it mentioned there are non mammal animals in the world, they just have their own places, it's not out of the realm of possibility that you could squint and keep Robin Hood in if you count it as existing as a film in Big Hero 6, soley because of Nick. It's a stretch but hey it's something!
The reason Bill the lizard is in Alice in Wonderland is not because it’s a dream realm, but because it is impossible to dream of faces of people you’ve never seen before. Alice must’ve met Bill at some point or just seen him or something, because she does dream of him.
I think that's a stretch to say about a lizard, man. Alice also met the Cheshire cat in wonderland, must she have met it in the real world too because you can't dream of faces you haven't seen?
Fun fact: rhe water effects from Little Mermaid were inspired by the entire ocean sequence from Pinocchio so I guess those two universes connect very well together.
I don't know why I had this idea in my head that the Genie from Aladdin and Merlin from The Sword and The Stone had some sort of connection in the sense of them being superpowerful beings that can time travel and just know things from the future, the movie about the freaking wishing star is going to release this year anyway. Edit: Just saw Merlin appears in Sofia the First, and since you used Sofia the First to connect a bunch of princesses, Merlin should count too, therefore The Sword and The Stone is also part of this.
Would be a very weak connection and I doubt Vegard would've accepted it. But yeah, the Sofia the First one should've gone. I guess Seamus only looked into the princesses.
21:59 Doesn't Rapunzel ask Mother Gothel for specific paints as a birthday present, maybe they're world renound so that's why Gipetto went all the way to Germany to get paints when he's in Italy?
Pinochios home town is placed in northern Italy close to the alpes (can bee seen in the back). And even so Rapunzel is a german faritale, the Kingdom where it takes places is some where in what would be France. Still doesn't explain the very english name of Flynn Rider aka Eugenes Fitzherbert wich is more German...apart from the fitz is not commen in german...but hey its another universe. Other univers other rules.
Fun fact, the things Maui sings about in You're Welcome, he actually did do in Maori mythology, its a nice little addition to the song! The Maori myths and legends are very interesting and fun to read :))
And in the movie he says that his tattoos only show up when he physically does them or when they happen to him, in the musical number the only thing he states that he confirmed he didn't do was he didn't make the tide the grass and ground.
Loving these videos. Couple small notes to help better place things in the timeline: In Tarzan, in the scene where Jane and her dad are about to leave back to England they specifically mention by name Queen Victoria, Rudyard Kipling, and Charles Darwin, and talk about all 3 of them as though they are all still alive, meaning that Tarzan has to take place during a point in which all 3 were still alive, meaning Tarzan has to take place sometime in the 1860's-1880's. Lilo and Stitch likely have to take place at least after the 1970's, as that's when Elvis died and Lilo specifically mentions Elvis multiple times in the movie and talks about him as though he's dead. I've heard some people say that Lilo and Stitch takes place in the early 2000's (right around when the movie itself came out), but I'm not sure if there is any evidence about that.
There is some room for dispute here. In the TV show based on Tarzan, The Legend Of Tarzan, there's one episode where the characters meet Edgar Rice Burroughs which inspires him to write the original 1912 novel Tarzan's based on in the first place. From what I remember of it, the publication of the novel isn't depicted as happening THAT long after the events of the episode. There was also an episode where they meet post-presidency Theodore Roosevelt during his African expedition which would've been between 1909-1911. Also, In L&S people are literally driving modern cars, Nani wears Ugg boots & at least in the TV series there's scenes of people using cell phones. I don't know, I thought it was obvious it was meant to take place in the present. If you want a specific example, I remember one episode where there's an alien that turns stuff into a more primitive version of itself. The episode starts with some couple on the beach having their sports car turned into an old jalopy & the guy's cell phone gets turned into a rotary phone before they get turned into cave-people.
@@zanzamanzaanza5981 it's possible the Tarzan show is no longer considered canon, and even if it is I don't recall them ever really giving a date, so the show could be a good 20 some years after the events of the movie, or it could be some kind of weird timeline thing where Burroughs wrote Tarzan in the 1880's in that Universe or it could have just been meant as a neat little Easter Egg that doesn't actually mean anything. Stranger things have happened. I don't necessarily think Nani's Boots could be something to really determine a time, but yes, there are more modern looking cars there, though did cars really look that different from how they did in the 70's. Also, I said it has to take place at least *after* the 70's, meaning that it's not in the 70's but sometimes after, meaning 80's, 90's, or 2000's, and I was saying that I don't think there's anything that mentions or indicates an exact "early 2000's date". I watched the Lilo and Stitch Series, but I don't recall that cousin in the show, though I didn't watch every episode nor do I recall one of the cousins having those powers from what I've researched.
I think what adds to the possibility it being the early 2000's were the various crossovers Lilo & Stitch had, and i'm pretty sure all of those shows took place in the late 90's/early 2000's (which was of course present day at the time).
For the beauty and the beast and Tarzan connection, i heard this fan theory that Jane is a descendant of Belle and Adam and so she brought the tea set during the expeditions which explains the scene
When connecting the Disney films I like to think that this universe has multiple dimensions, like there’s the A dimension where all the animated films take place and then there’s an L dimension where the live action films take place, plus there’s a dimension where humans don’t exist and that’s where films like zootopia, Robin Hood, Lion King, all the Mickey Mouse films, and perhaps dinosaur. Bc we actually see the evolution of the animals as without humans the animals took over the world and began to walk on two legs and talk. Plus we see how in the A dimension shows how in the universe with humans animals are kinda evolving as the animals in these films are intelligent but not at the same level as the animals in zootopia for example. And Enchanted proves that it’s possible to use magic to travel between universes.
As someone who's in the process of making a really really really really big chart of every interconnected universe, thanks. This saves me a lot of research.
Alice's sister was Margaret in the book "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" but wasn't named in the Disney animated film; that's true, but Mrs. Darling's name is always Mary, just like from the book "Peter Pan" so that is still a totally different character, and as for the timing of Peter Pan looks like it actually took place in the late 1800s or the turn of 1900, because otherwise Wendy wouldn't have been given much time to start a family of her own before WWII where the Return to Neverland movie's story takes place if the time placement for the first PP film had been that close to WW I.
For one thing Mary could easily be a nickname for Margaret and secondly Danny doesn’t exist in the original Peter Pan book so clearly there’s a lot of changes from the source material
@@reggieunderthesea; Naming pseudo similarities are not exactly relevant to my explanations; I understand completely how names can be different and similar at the same time.
@@reggieunderthesea; That is why I left Danny out of my comments since this is supposed to be Disney talk, not, trying to delve too deep into details, because the literary Peter Pan books and Plays have no sequels, but they did have prequel stories about Peter Pan's origins after that, And Disney's Return to Neverland is Disney's own work; I was never implying that it had any actual thing to do with J.M. Barry's works, only that they are only connected because of the Main (usual) Characters and the basic following of the Neverland Guidelines {Faith, Trust, and Believe} which is the actual message of the Novel in Disney it's "Pixy Dust" in place of "Believe".
I don’t know if anyone’s pointed this out yet (sorry if they have) but Sofia the first can also relate to Frozen, as when her amulet glitches in “The Secret Library: Olaf and the Tale of Miss Nettle” she summons (who would have guessed) Olaf! I really enjoyed this video, it was really fun to look at the Easter eggs, and it must have taken so long to make
Timon and Pumba were probably in Lilo and Stitch because you know, they probably have unknown powers we don't know of or comprehend. Think about it, Simba fainted in the desert, about to die, and Timon and Pumba come up to him UNPHASED by the heat and are like: "Okay."
Surprised you didn't mention how the directors of frozen confirmed Tarzan is Anna and Elsa's brother or even try to connect their parents to Tarzan's parents. or officially talk about the theory of Jane being a descendant of Belle.
There's actually a scene in Tangled the Series where they go to a vault containing various magic items including the cursed spinning wheel from Sleeping Beauty, the Black Cauldron, and the Sword in the Stone.
I love this video wanted to point out that Big Hero 6: "San Fransokyo is actually an alternate history's perspective of San Francisco after the earthquake of 1906. In this story's universe, however, the earthquake (and as a result the complete devastation left in its wake) was the result of artist Lenore Shimamoto's work on an energy amplifier project that went awry....Following this restitution, San Francisco was renamed San Fransokyo in honor and recognition of it being a city reborn thanks to a combination of Japanese and American architecture, landscaping and engineering skills."
So obviously I know this is focusing on solely the movies, but an interesting thing to take into account is the game Kingdom Hearts. Specifically in KH3 some of the Disney worlds are actually fully canon to both KH and the actual movie IP. One of these canon worlds is actually Big Hero Six. This small detail means that quite literally every single Disney character, works, reference, and appearance within Kingdom Hearts is canonically all taking place in the same universe. Doesn't connect up everything obviously, but helps give even more evidence for some connections.
12:18 I don't think Maui was lying about all the stuff - I mean the tattoos on his body only show up when he does did something big (positive or negative) - so if he would be lying all the tattoos would be fake too. This video was fun to watch. ^^
no hes not lying - its based on mythology so although we know science and stuff - in mythology maui is a demi god who really did all the stuff he claims, and thats what the movie shows.
We actually got confirmation from the creators of the current aeration of the 101 Dalmatian. 101 dalmatian street is the continuation from the original movie. As they did not take any of the sequels, books, or games, into the consideration of the show. So it only continues from the original movie to 101 Dalmatian Street.
the way to connect the rescuers and Bambi to the rest is quiet simple. Princesses and the frog is based in Louisiana, and the actual scene you showed of Penny lost in the "cabin" could the boat where the Prince tries to propose to Tiana. and the time line matches up since Rescuers would be 50 or so years in the future from Princesses and the frog... enough time for it to be fallen apart and abandoned.
I feel like a lot of the reasoning in this video proves that the movies take place in parallel universes at least but not necessarily the same universe. 29:50 for example suggests that the same tea set exists in both the Universe of Beauty and the Beast and Tarzan but it's still possible that different events happened with the tea set in each universe.
i don’t want to be that person that’s like “this wasn’t mentioned” but the magic flower in tangled being in moana wasn’t mentioned and that was a missed opportunity

"Vegard's not familliar with his Disney Dark Age, guys." Vegard doesn't seem to know most ages of Disney Movies, a feat l thought practically impossible, yet here we are.
You should try and connect a bunch of the animated Disney Channel shows eg; Gravity Falls, Amphibia, The Owl House, The Ghost And Molly McGee and Kim Possible
The reason why Maui said that he created a bunch of things is because Disney is taking from actual mythology, which is why it doesn’t quite work out in this universe
Queen Athena was accidentally killed by the Pirate ship in the midst of the Mermaid treasures being stolen; the Pirates have no knowledge that mermaids lived in that specific area of the ocean, they were too busy pillaging to take notice.
i mean...you could also say lady and the tramp takes place in peter pans universe, 42:19 the little child kinda looks like michael darling. also oliver and company has toulouse (aristocats) in it at timestamp 42:51. its a little sketchy but idk just a little theory🤷♀️
So Seamus, when you posted your Disney universe video you lead me to the conclusion that betrem from Jesse and Star Wars are all in the same multiverse so i thank you for that. You have changed my life.
The reason Jane has the tea set is there's theories that Jane is a descendant of belle, they look similar, yellow dresses, have a thing for rugged hairy men 😂
Also I think it's an honorable thing to mention that the Sleeping beauty version that was known to the world was by the GRIMM'S BROTHERS and you know what other story became known because of the Grimm's brothers? You're damn right, Rapunzel, Snow White and Cinderella :) So safe to say that Grimm's brothers are not only the "creators", but also connecting these together as stories.. I hope you get what I mean because my capabilities to explain are limited
45:32 i saw on the book next to "Alice in wonderland" the title is "peter pan" so later on in the video when they get to peter pan i thought the book would *possibly* connect peter pan and Pinocchio. Edit: nvm they mentioned it :)
I wonder how much of this would change in a Kingdom Hearts universe? Like the fact that Sleeping Beauty directly affects the world through time travel shenanigans. However, that'd get even messier to figure out because of the Final Fantasy side of KH.
Maui isn’t lying about the things in his song. He’s bragging about all the amazing things he has done and how humans should adore him because of it all. This is supported in the context of the movie by his tattoos, and supported in a wider context by Maui’s mythology.
20:20 I know the theory he is about to say but I also saw a funny story on tumbler earlier today, it’s about the people from El Dorado (the 2 dudes that are scammers and go to El dorado I forgot their names but there’s also a cute girl) So the story is basically ‘2 guy go to an island to find a bunch of gold, then they fuck on the gold’ bc it’s tumblr ‘then they take a bunch of gold and get a child named Flyn Rider who falls in love with a girl with golden hair and a golden tiara’ and that’s pretty much it but this would actually be a fun story Also yes this was one of my favourite movies growing up together with Aladin, Hunchback of Notre Dam and Sinbad and yes I’m gay (I like mythology and stories and I had a crush on all the female protagonists in the stories except from Sinbad, I haven’t seen it in a while but I do remember thinking she was a badass just didn’t make me feel as gay idk)
okay but Maui wasn't lying. the stories that he tells in You're Welcome (and that are shown on his tattoos) are based on Polynesian mythology, so they're presented as fact in the movie. also, i know you didn't connect Raya and the Last Dragon and Moana but it's unlikely that they would've sailed east to Southeast Asia/Oceania since historically, people from the Polynesian region came from Southeast Asia both by foot (when water levels were low enough for islands to be connected by land) and by boat
I still don’t know how no one has seen Olaf as one of Maui’s tattoos! I feel like the only one in the world that has spotted that when it first came out
Maybe Ursela is like a family proffession? that would explain the time-gap? idk Tangled has a lot of references to other disney movies! (upon rereading this comment i relaize you talk about a couple but i felt like keeping it in because I love Tangled) I absolutely believe the post apocalyptiv Alladin theory, but not like as what the movie really is, if that makes sense.
1:02:44 Home on the range is super under-rated in my opinion. I have no clue why I like it but after hearing it was a bad movie I watched it and loved it. Might've been the villain and his henchmen.
28:53 “(it would’ve still been easier on the eyes)” There’s the classic joke about the Nightmare Organ, nice to know even with the Disney Sequel show over that joke lives on
if movie in a movie counts book in a movie should count and also be given the yellow string and do more connections because both pinochle and tangled had so many books
The the theory behind the reason why Jane has the Mrs pots and chip tea set is because she is Belles great granddaughter and it is a family heirloom passed down from generation to generation.
If we go with the conspiracy theory that Robin Hood is actually in the same universe as Zootopia (just set in the distant past), then would that also imply Lion King is on that same timeline but even further back? The opening of the movie does mention how they were divided by predator and prey and acted like animals, which could suggest that the timeline of events there could be "Lion King > [Scene Missing; animals stop relying on predator/prey dynamics] > [Scene Missing; animals become more humanoid and start forming civilizations] > Robin Hood [if we assume this is not an A to B timeline that matches up exactly with our progression taking place in the Middle Ages but more that this is the point their progression of technology, construction, and such has advanced to where humans were at that point] > [skimming over all the anthropomorphic animal movies with no humans set after the Medieval era, and likely leading up to the modern day] > Zootopia's modern day society" (I'm dubious of whether or not we say Dinosaur is the objective earliest point in the timeline, which then could lead to Lion King, mostly because Lion King seems like it could take place at any point during this nebulous time between animals being animals and animals walking around, wearing clothes, and building things; this is really one of those no strong evidence for nor against) It's never clear whether humans in the Zootopia world are extinct or simply never existed, so I'm just going on the assumption of the latter to support the argument of animals somehow gaining the sentience and intelligence that humans would've evolved.
@@neogranzongokay, that’s good; still missing those pieces of my timeline suggestion that could say Lion King (and possibly Dinosaur) are also in the same timeline, and leading up to Robin Hood. Which, if that’s the case and this is a separate world of sentient animals, would therefore imply that it would be set in the same approximate time period as the fictional/historic Robin Hood folklore. I mean, I doubt we’ll ever get a solid answer showing an early transition point between “animals acting as animals” and “animals start developing complex societies”, which would eventually motivate the gradual increase in technology, science, architecture, etc. that leads to the modern-day Zootopia, but I think Chicken Little *might* be able to fit on that same timeline between Robin Hood and Zootopia to further support my conspiracy.

Which MEANS its 100% possible he traveled to all of the places and times he made references to.
i think it's because genie views time non linearly
I hope this is cannon
You can also add chicken little and maybe they came from an animal universe, i mean the princesses came from different universes as well
Nope, what was said was that Zootopia doesn't happen in the same universe as Robin Hood, and the non mammal thing was a maybe or maybe not.
You can follow Vegard's acceptance of Seamus's "strong arguments" as the wine hits and then fades.
I had the exact same connection in my head! Was that movie even really talked about in this video besides the bambis mum thing?
@@KajaKay nope that was the only time I believe

Loving these videos. Couple small notes to help better place things in the timeline:
In Tarzan, in the scene where Jane and her dad are about to leave back to England they specifically mention by name Queen Victoria, Rudyard Kipling, and Charles Darwin, and talk about all 3 of them as though they are all still alive, meaning that Tarzan has to take place during a point in which all 3 were still alive, meaning Tarzan has to take place sometime in the 1860's-1880's.
@@lordofninjas1 I looked up an episode list for the series, the episode in question was S2E11 "Retro".
I think what adds to the possibility it being the early 2000's were the various crossovers Lilo & Stitch had, and i'm pretty sure all of those shows took place in the late 90's/early 2000's (which was of course present day at the time).
i thought Lilo and Stitch was taking place in the 90s/early 2000s purely based on vibes
I am so amazed at the level of dedication this video took. I would never be able to have the patience or time XD
Collab when?

Timon and Pumba were probably in Lilo and Stitch because you know, they probably have unknown powers we don't know of or comprehend. Think about it, Simba fainted in the desert, about to die, and Timon and Pumba come up to him UNPHASED by the heat and are like: "Okay."

29:50 for example suggests that the same tea set exists in both the Universe of Beauty and the Beast and Tarzan but it's still possible that different events happened with the tea set in each universe.

this is more complicated than the fnaf timeline.
One hour of Seamus has literally made my day… I needed this video in my life
The little snow people with Marshmallow were created in the short film Frozen Fever, which certainly was an experience
Now you need to find out how all the corner of shame things go together and then find a few blue strings to connect them to the wider universe
50:40 there is also a book that I own where Belle appears called "The amulet and the anthem" So uh there's that I suppose.
This is just Seamus getting Vegard drunk so he'll agree with Seamus's theories
24:00 That makes so much sense because remember the carpet was in princess and the frog which is in New Orleans who were the first to colonize that area the FRENCH
Yeah exactly
Queen Athena was accidentally killed by the Pirate ship in the midst of the Mermaid treasures being stolen; the Pirates have no knowledge that mermaids lived in that specific area of the ocean, they were too busy pillaging to take notice.
I’m absurdly excited for this video!!
i mean...you could also say lady and the tramp takes place in peter pans universe, 42:19 the little child kinda looks like michael darling. also oliver and company has toulouse (aristocats) in it at timestamp 42:51. its a little sketchy but idk just a little theory🤷♀️

I hope you get what I mean because my capabilities to explain are limited

45:32 i saw on the book next to "Alice in wonderland" the title is "peter pan" so later on in the video when they get to peter pan i thought the book would *possibly* connect peter pan and Pinocchio.

I don’t know if you watched the entire ready of Sofia, the first, but Olaf also makes an appearance, therefore, linking Sofia the first to frozen
What if Sven is secretly Maui and Frozen takes place after Moana?
20:20 I know the theory he is about to say but I also saw a funny story on tumbler earlier today, it’s about the people from El Dorado (the 2 dudes that are scammers and go to El dorado I forgot their names but there’s also a cute girl)
So the story is basically ‘2 guy go to an island to find a bunch of gold, then they fuck on the gold’ bc it’s tumblr ‘then they take a bunch of gold and get a child named Flyn Rider who falls in love with a girl with golden hair and a golden tiara’ and that’s pretty much it but this would actually be a fun story
Also yes this was one of my favourite movies growing up together with Aladin, Hunchback of Notre Dam and Sinbad and yes I’m gay (I like mythology and stories and I had a crush on all the female protagonists in the stories except from Sinbad, I haven’t seen it in a while but I do remember thinking she was a badass just didn’t make me feel as gay idk)
you had me hooked for the entire hour
wooo thank you!!!
okay but Maui wasn't lying. the stories that he tells in You're Welcome (and that are shown on his tattoos) are based on Polynesian mythology, so they're presented as fact in the movie. also, i know you didn't connect Raya and the Last Dragon and Moana but it's unlikely that they would've sailed east to Southeast Asia/Oceania since historically, people from the Polynesian region came from Southeast Asia both by foot (when water levels were low enough for islands to be connected by land) and by boat
I still don’t know how no one has seen Olaf as one of Maui’s tattoos! I feel like the only one in the world that has spotted that when it first came out
Maybe Ursela is like a family proffession? that would explain the time-gap? idk
Tangled has a lot of references to other disney movies! (upon rereading this comment i relaize you talk about a couple but i felt like keeping it in because I love Tangled)
I absolutely believe the post apocalyptiv Alladin theory, but not like as what the movie really is, if that makes sense.

28:53 “(it would’ve still been easier on the eyes)”
There’s the classic joke about the Nightmare Organ, nice to know even with the Disney Sequel show over that joke lives on
if movie in a movie counts book in a movie should count and also be given the yellow string and do more connections because both pinochle and tangled had so many books
you’re right! i think i got them in in the end, but it’s a good way to get connections!
The opening of the movie does mention how they were divided by predator and prey and acted like animals, which could suggest that the timeline of events there could be "Lion King > [Scene Missing; animals stop relying on predator/prey dynamics] > [Scene Missing; animals become more humanoid and start forming civilizations] > Robin Hood [if we assume this is not an A to B timeline that matches up exactly with our progression taking place in the Middle Ages but more that this is the point their progression of technology, construction, and such has advanced to where humans were at that point] > [skimming over all the anthropomorphic animal movies with no humans set after the Medieval era, and likely leading up to the modern day] > Zootopia's modern day society" (I'm dubious of whether or not we say Dinosaur is the objective earliest point in the timeline, which then could lead to Lion King, mostly because Lion King seems like it could take place at any point during this nebulous time between animals being animals and animals walking around, wearing clothes, and building things; this is really one of those no strong evidence for nor against)
It's never clear whether humans in the Zootopia world are extinct or simply never existed, so I'm just going on the assumption of the latter to support the argument of animals somehow gaining the sentience and intelligence that humans would've evolved.
Zootopia is it's own separate universe, said by the directors themselves.
