Tamiyo is a bomb in control meta. Reid used it to mercilessly grind opponents out in a 7-1 run. Only loss was due to it not generating enough value from 8 clues.
were you really dead here at 1:19:28 ? Couldn't you have sacked the scion to get 1 mana, use wither and bloom on the siege gang commander, then take 2 dmg cuz they sac it, then destroy wumpus abberation with fell the profane and keep up sneaky snackers as blockers?
Question: With several spell lands (as was the case on this draft), wouldnt it be better to play a total of 18 or even 19 lands and guarantee no mana issues?
I’m one draft in and I went 7-1 with Ulalek. I don’t think it’s as much of a meme as it appears. It’s surprisingly easy to cast on turn 5 or even 4 with worn powerstone. And once it was in play, it ran away with games.
Yeah I could definitely see that being the case. I didn't realize just how easy it would be to ramp in this format. Casting 10 or 12 drops is just very feasible in MH3.
Don't tell me that. Guess I won't be drafting this set. I hate control so much it keeps me from playing this game I just auto conceed when I see control decks.
@Jack-uh2db I agree I just hate control. And typically don't see it in limited. But in standard it's so annoying. Honestly would rather go to dinner with Ted bundy

Ppl in green sleep hard on that elk card, it's a 3 drop or makes a huge/problematic creature a 3/3 with 0 abilities and after it dies you get a 3/3.
Yeah it's a lot better than I initially thought.
You can elk your Eldrazi spawn for a recursive 3/3, worked well for me in the prerelease
@@sethc.1366 yep, germs are also great, watchdog type cards go the same way.

Thank goodness. Excited to draft the control piles

You definitely can especially if your spell lands are good enough to cast on their own like the 2BB removal spell.
How are there Cursed Wombats in multiple boosters going after pick 10
Early access! People trying things and certain archetypes were wide open!
You said Fetid Gargantua is really bad, but isn’t it worth it with the counter from Whiter and Bloom?
i feel like the gargantua is gunna kinda be a sleeper
18:21 😭😭😭😭 nesting grounds with mindless conscription and fetid gargantua would literally be so much value

I'm sorry, I laughed out loud during the last game :)
Draft from the left so we can read the cards!!!
no
Betttt control is my shit
"close one" looks at score 0-20 lol.
Better than Boros, I hate fast formats, mh3 suck , worst set to come out in a long time. Luck Factor up skill factor down.
Don't tell me that. Guess I won't be drafting this set. I hate control so much it keeps me from playing this game I just auto conceed when I see control decks.
Skill issue
control decks exist in most limited formats (for example, Grixis crimes in OTJ). A limited control deck doesn’t play at all like a constructed one
This has to be satire
