    That little square thingy muh bob that you used in your garden would be so handy. Thank you for the video- I'm gleaning all the information I can get so I can use that knowledge in my own garden

    I just ordered sweet onion seeds. Thanks for the inspiration! I grew from starters last spring and had very good results. I prefer growing from seeds though. It’s fun!

    So onions can grow through the winter? I live in Pennsylvania.

    • @zevab3178
      @zevab3178 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes. You plant them in October and harvest them in June /July. Winter hardy onions that is.

    • @gardeningwithprincess
      @gardeningwithprincess ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes. Onions need a period of cold weather in order to bulb properly. You plant them in fall (sometimes spring while it's still cold) and harvest in late spring or early summer. Or whenever the tops fall over, they're ready.

      @faithfamilyhomestead  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry, I am unsure of how cold it gets in Pennsylvania but I do know onions can handle down to 22 degrees if we'll acclimated. Last year the coldest we got here was 27 and my onions did great.

    Oh man onions and garlic are toxic to dogs. Maybe put a little fence around it.
    I got the same botanical interest seeds. They grow slow....I also planted sets. I'm in 8b.

    That’s bizarre because onions and garlic are I believe toxic for dogs also

      Which is why I find it funny every time she says it. Out of everything in the garden the dog went straight for the onions and came out fine as can be😅

      🤣😂 my dog also dug and ate my tulip bulbs 🤷🏾

      @@faithfamilyhomestead Why do they insist on trying to kill themselves? Either by eating random objects or throwing their body off of anything taller than them😭🤣
