Woiii!!!! Mothership!!! I fact-checked with my Aussie friend and they said to add milk not water!!!! Shouldn't y'all compare based on recipe instead??? I'm definitely finding this Aussie Milo RIGHT NOW!!!!
The way mat saleh's drink Milo/Nesquick or hot chocolate as they call it is by grabbing some milk from the fridge, pour some into a glass and heat it up in the microwave. Then, stir in the powder into the hot milk.
fact is Nestle would've conducted focus groups and market tests to arrive at the ginal recipe for Milo Singapore. this is why most Mothership staff (presumably mostly Singaporeans) prefer Milo Singapore.
Milo was invented in Australia in 1934. You could say that the Milo Australia product is the original version. The others are just brand name imitations. Do Singaporeans, like Malaysians, add condensed milk to their Milo?
Excellent video! Clear, concise and methodical examination of the differences culminating in a taste test. Editing is great too - covers a lot of ground in a short time. Good pace. Sustains audience's attention.
Australian milo for me because less sugar. I had Asian milo at a young age and I did like it. Nonetheless, Milo in Asia has too much sugar in them. Addictive yes but detrimental for your health. My family has swapped over to Aus Milo for years and much prefer it, to be honest. We use both hot water and milk. Back then, people think milo is like hot cocoa, but in fact, it doesn't even come close. If I want a more filling beverage, it's milo hands down. When it's winter and I want to indulge, that's when I switch to hot chocolate. Note: no one who lives outside the commonwealth know what Milo is. I find it amusing.
I did that and personally I thought the Australian one tasted slightly better… couldn’t pin point why, maybe because it was hotter in Melbourne at the time
Aussie here... 1KG Milo in our local supermarkets (Woolies, Coles, etc) retails for around $15.50 AUD, which is about $13.73 SGD at the time I commented. We usually put way more Milo (almost half a glass) and mix with cold milk. The remaining Milo floats to the top which you eat with your spoon.
Milo SG for sure. I have tried Milo Aussie with milk instead of water before. No kick. I believe our Milo has a slight hint of saltiness that the Aussie one doesn’t have. And that’s what makes it familiar to me.
$28 is not 2x _more_ expensive than $14. $42 is 2x _more_ expensive than $14. In blind Pepsi / Coca-Cola street taste test. The majority prefered Pepsi. But, an expert says that doesn't mean that Pepsi tastes better. People generally prefer sweeter things. So, the reasoning is that people chose the sweeter drink. To do a proper test, you have to blindfold the participants as some have mentioned the color as a turn off. Then, after asking their preference. Ask why they chose the one. If they say it tastes sweeter,. Then, they are merely choosing the sweeter product. Then, you'll have to test these people again by sweetening the less sweet product so that they are equally sweet. Difficult unless you get a lab to measure the sweetness. Or, you just put these people in the 'I like the sweeter product' category.
A blind taste test would be better. People who drink the australia milo will automatically find a fault in it and how different it would taste since they know it's not your normal Singaporean milo. But oh welp, this is good as well I guess...
Coming from Australia, Milo to me has always been a milk drink, so I was shocked to drink Milo made with water, it's a completely different and inferior product.
😊🙏 Since Singaporeans are so discerning in their taste of their foods & drinks ... It's more safer to choose what Singapore Nestlè's recipe & flavour for Singapore market! Lousy tasting foods or drinks would be harder to sell in Singapore even though the version might be healthier! 🙏🕯🌏🇨🇭🇸🇬
Milo Australia is use milk to mix, not water.
the instructions 'allow' for either milk or water. but you're right, most Aussies go for cold milk.
Editors: Eh, how many visual effects you want for this video?
Aik Hui: Yes
I think she wants to be Milo
I think Australia use milk to mix not water
without adding milk, australian milo already tastes milkier whereas Singapore Milo tastes like there more white sugar
@@matreen427 weird part is some Australians add 3-5 spoon Milo 4 shots of milk lol
Yeah we do like when we try to make Hot Chocolate they say Hot Milk or Water
I feel like Australia Milo is milkier because in sg we add water haha
Woiii!!!! Mothership!!! I fact-checked with my Aussie friend and they said to add milk not water!!!! Shouldn't y'all compare based on recipe instead??? I'm definitely finding this Aussie Milo RIGHT NOW!!!!
yes the better test would've been to follow manufacturer's recommended serving. this should be in addition to the "control" test.
Actually, isn’t the Milo in Sg brewed with condensed milk and hot water , which is kinda same effect as adding hot milk to Milo powder?

You should also compare both Australian and Singaporean Milo with Malaysian Milo, especially since Milo is very popular in Malaysia.
Does Malaysian Milo have more sugar?
Indonesian milo, too! I have heard of people buying Malaysia milo to bring back to Indonesia. Might be sweeter, as the other commentator said.
Mothership, amazing content keep it up

Should compare Australian receipe version vs Australia version instead?

Do keep in mind I did cold milk not water

Milo floats to the top - it is called Milo Dinosaur in SG.
@@sart3735 amazing! I never knew the name until now, just did a quick search and it looks a lot more familiar to us.
There is also Milo Godzilla - which is what happens when Milo Dino goes overdose, haha

Cool.
I’m in the ‘i don’t like Milo’ camp
Gosh, they don't know how to make Australian Milo. Add warm milk! Not hot water!
Why you don’t appear earlier Sia… I just bought milo Australia..😂
you may prefer Milo Australia
Don’t try that shit in Australia. No one and I mean no one adds water to their Milo. Tried both and SG Milo tastes like ass
If you give me a blindfold taste test, I can tell which is which.
