I didn't know how easy it was to rebuild one of these! I'll have to give it a try on mine.

Can you do a video on intake plenum deletes and what to do after, my z has a high idle at 1500 with a misfire but then stops when it’s in drive (automatic) and idles at 900 but pops every couple seconds not as frequently. I wanna see if deleting the idle stuff will fix this cuz I can’t find a replacement anywhere that’s in my budget

Hey, appreciate you making this video, but I’ve got a question. So, my rack started leaking, and then my pump went out. I’ve been running the car without the power steering belt for now until I could either rebuild or replace the pump, and rebuild my spare rack and use it as my replacement. Anyway, my question is, would there be any means of pulling the pump off and blocking something off so I could still drive my car, given the fact I’m not running the PS right now anyway? My Z is my daily driver at the moment, so I’m trying to limit the time it would need be down for as much as possible.

I made the same mistake! I put regular power steering fluid in mine and I ended up rebuilding my own rack with new seals. I have the seals for the pump but I'm going to watch this vid first. My pump still seems ok so far though.

Will you be restocking the 300zx z31 stainless steel exhaust manifold stud kit?

@@kennycharneca1 not bad, I already got the parts to rebuild mine so I figured I'd just do it myself

This is my sign to stop procrastinating and install my steering rack ig.
But maybe i need to find out why the engine doesnt want to work properly before i add more load to it

is the seal you got in your kit a seal or a bearing? i got a kit off rockauto and it came with a seal. i found when i was taking the “seal” out, it was a ball bearing. i ripped the cover off because i thought it was just a seal

Honestly I'm not sure. It looked more like a seal than anything, but I didn't take it apart to see if it had a bearing inside. As long as the old part and new part look the same I'd say it's probably good to put the new piece in.
