I got the Warca for exactly this reason and it's been great so far. yes, my Korua is better on edge when carving but for everything else, the Warva blows it out of the water, for me at least. Very versatile board. A twin that is actually great in pow.
@@Chaugar It's average to slightly lighter than average. Since it's quite short, it's fairly nimble to butter on. Gotta lean into those butters though. It's not too stiff but it's a bit more work than most medium flex boards like a DOA or Salomon Assassin.
Love this review. Brought the Orca from Sarah last month. Still haven’t didn’t use it but maybe next week. 😊 also can you guess test and review AMPLID boards.
Grabbed a Warpig at the end of last season, glad it's getting some love! Can't wait to try it in the upcoming weeks 😃 Edit: I really love the board, and it's definitely a learning curve at slow speeds, especially if you come from a more narrow nible board. But having no toe drag for deep carves is such a joy 😊
I am 6'0 185 lbs in my gear with 11.5 boots and ride a 158 warpig. Mainly went with it for the width so I can carve hard without heeling out. It is a true all around board. If you knock the stance back all the way it destroys pow and if you center it then it rides well switch. If Ride were to put a tiny amount of spoon in the nose and tail after the contact points then it would be the absolute best board on the market for us large footed folks. It lacks the feeling of spooned boards in pow but is still an absolute blast, and is super predictable no matter where you are on the mountain. Maybe not the best board for Alaska due to lack of camber and more flexy tail, but most of us will never ride there anyways, and if I had to then I am sure I could ride it there if I had to. Food for thought.
Hi, I'm trying to chose between Jones Stratos, Jones Mind Expander and YES Warca. I assume that Jones Mind Expander is something different but how Jones Stratos and YES Warca can be compared? Thanks
Great vid. While I have and love the orca especially for pow trees, I’d say the golden orca is most directly comparable and versatile like the warca. Agree?
Ride Warpig is NOT a rocker profile. It's flat camber or zero camber with rocker in the tips and tail. And you mention the Orca's ability to shift for and aft? What? you can do that on any board.
For an older dude, 49, that mainly sticks to the groomers now. Colo resort riding. But still hits the steep fast groomers.......Already own a Harpoon, what would you say? Not a lot switch, not a lt on of freestyle, just cruising groomers all day long and when the mood strikes pointing it carving hard going mach 10.
I am also about your age and I am also in Colorado, I have an Orca and it is a great board. I think the riding you are describing you should try the Neversummer Triple camber Proto FR. That board is a total ripper and crazy stable at high speed. It also floats very well in the powder.
I also have an orca, both are great but I prefer the superpig for charging hard. The orca is more playful and forgiving, more fun when with a group chilling, better for park too. Still charges hard but when push comes to shower superpig carves harder and rides faster and more stable.
I think the superpig is basically what yes wanted the warca to be. I have the superpig and I love it, I normally ride it over my orca. More aggressive, carves hard and charges through chunder
You’re riding the wrong conditions for the Orca. Also it’s not an all mountain board. I have the first year Orca and it’s the smallest board in my fleet 153cm and only comes out in deep snow. 161W Skunk Ape is my daily driver.
The orca is a killer deck its just maligned by the majority of its pilots being barneys and nobody wanting to be seen riding one, the hype has settled down and you dont see 6 of them in every lift line now vs. 3 years ago... the price however is a joke lib tech builds cheap boards with basic cores and tucked edges with fragile sidewalls and soft bases, .. the war pig is priced much more realistically for what you get ..the k2 excavator smokes all these in low angle trees deep powder and groomer carving

Man I don't even snowboard but this video was entertaining as hell, good job!
Demoed the Warping at Breckenridge and I love it. Good flex and holds a strong edge when going fast on groomed runs. Rides high in powder.

Does the WARCA feel like a light or heavy board? Can you throw ground tricks on it or is it kinda too heavy and cumbersome to do that? Thx

Man y’all killed this review!!! Been waiting on a comprehensive comparison!
I’m looking at the warpig, what bindings would you guys recommend?
I was pleased with my purchase and so was my 7 year old! It's sturdy and the perfect size for him!

Me too
I just snagged a superpig. I am loving it on the choppy days!!
I’m 6’0 190lbs size 11 what size ORCA would you recommend?

Great video! What were the board lengths?

burton hometown hero vs flight attendant vs territory manager would be a great review.
Very good review guys!!

Can you compare K2 platter 2023 vs Ride War pig?
I haven't ridden the war pig but I'm confused how it is good for carving with a flat to rocker profile.
Yeah I have the same question. It's a flat board. Not exactly the one most people would reach for when looking to carve.
I own one (2020) , and there is a bit of camber actually. But the wide nose and narrower tail makes it a decent carver.
the warpig has a flat to rocker profile; Ride themselves has said it is flat board. Please make sure your specs are correct.

Ride superpig. I'm 42, I ride the same way but probably more Mach 10 mashing.

Yaaaa boys

Warpig is flat to rocker isn’t it 🤔
Yeah it’s a flat base, Ride is pretty adamant about the fact that they don’t make a true rocker.
Lay one on a table and be the judge yourself
Yes it is
"very different opinions" but they agreed in every category LOL
And Gremlin kills them all lol
I got a gremlin and warpig gremlin is better at speed warpig is a better freestyle board
