As a healthcare worker for 34 years I have found that the business initiative overrides the need for the multidisciplinary team having balance.
It gets worse by the day, and WE as doctors, nurses, techs, and patients have no say so in how things function.
Many are leaving the healthcare system for a lack of concern from those in charge.
Yes Sadhguru is absolutely correct in his description of burnout. The answer is definitely within. Make positive changes for yourself so the greater good may benefit from your service.

Beloved Sadhguru❤What you say is absolute true 🙏 but only to a certain extent. Eg. In the UK our right-wing government of 13 years has been running our NHS into the ground by severely underfunding, lower than inflation pay and privatisation. Currently in a country of 80 million there's a waiting list for treatments of 8 million people. Some people wait over 14 hours for an ambulance. There is currently a staff shortage of 100,000 unfilled vacancies. Our NHS staff are amazing and most will go above and beyond for their patients, literally work til they drop and return home to their families exhausted. The willingness is there and desire is there but the real issues lie in a failing democracy where too many in power don't work for us. They work for their corporate backers. Corporate interests have infiltrated every institution including the media. Increasing workload is a serious issue. It's sad to see the slow demise of our NHS which was once the pride of our nation. It's like watching death by a 1000 cuts.

I got bullied by a patient and she was a mother who did not want to feed her child baby. she just manipulated her words to make sure she looked like she was correct. absolutely disgusting people out there.

The entire medical and health care system in the USA is probably the worst of all the developed nations. A holistic attitude and spirituality in daily life would greatly assist.

    • @kartik8704

Yes, i too was wondering if the emotional aspect is all that is implied by the term burnout. And indeed it is defined as physical, mental and emotional exhaustion *caused by stress*. I think the point he's making is, if you're in charge of your mind and emotions, heavy workloads like that of physicians can drain you physically but not mentally and emotionally.. if physical drainage is all there is, you (the system) can modulate the amount of activity demanded from a physician and also a physician can improve his physical capacity for activity...

"Take social media, artificial intelligence and virtual reality and keep it safe! " The answer has no end in sight. Keep vague concepts of educational reform safely in mind?! And the hysterics begin. A lot of powerful Isha practices are available for free, and even their more advanced programs offer discounts for those in need. And the most avdanced programs, such as Samyama, are completely free. Of course for some programs that are 2-3-4 days long there is a form of payment because who then will pay for the space and the food? Do not discuss what you have no idea of. If you were truly interested in spirituality, you would know that Isha offers lots of great practices for free.

There is no such thing as burnout, its just our perception
We commit responsibilities beyond our capabilities, that's the only way to burnout
Most of the times people either they actually don't have any interest in what they are doing or they don't have enough energy to do their work
    Wrong food choices
    Lack of physical workout
    Lacking passion in their profession
    Wrong sleeping patterns
These are the general but unaddressed reasons

I'm struggling to recover from a long term, diagnosed burnout! Please, educate yourself first. Burnout is real and leaves you exhausted from the moment you wake up because the body has over-consumed all the stocks of energy available.
